I looked it up on IMDB (which disqualifies me  ) and I think Rossroy is stretching the rules a little.  The character's name is supposed to be the title of the film, not the first word (first word hint hint )

Actually you're raising a doubt in my mind now 

I've never seen any version of it so I wouldn't know exactly but I always thought that the whole title was more a description of the character than a name.  Now I wonder how confused we got the others

Well, technically, I think they give him a real, standard, "human" name in the Gerald Butler version, but I'm not certain, it's been a while!
