Dragonfire

Those cartoon collections look nice.  I haven't seen the director's cut of Daredevil either. I've considered getting it as well..I may break down and get it someday.

Grabbed a few from Amazon's HD Week sales.
Arrived today:

The last of my orders came last week while I was gone.

   $24.95
Both X-File Movies. I saw the 1st one but not the 2nd.

And the "Hard Action Blu-ray 3-Pack" (Based on the title it almost sounds like it should be in Jimmy's collection  :tease: )
   $30.99 Which includes:

Rogmeister

Due to a money crunch, I haven't bought much of anything lately.  The last couple of things I do remember getting...

Comanche Moon (mini-series, one of the Lonesome Dove series)
Gunsmoke: Season 3, Volume Two
The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp: The Complete Season One

Believe it or not, I do like non-westerns, too!  Among the upcoming items I hope to get soon are the final season of Reba and the upcoming (final?) season of Kate & Allie.

Don't expect a lot from the second one this is a very deceiving film.

Captain America (£5.15 at Amazon.co.uk)
It's because of you guys that I got curious!
Batman: Gotham Knight (£10.33 at Amazon.co.uk)
Similar to "Highlander: The Search for Vengeance" it takes a western story and is directed by Japanese anime directors. Also part of DC movie line with "Superman: Doomsday" and "Wonder Woman".
Nochnoi dozor & Dnevnoy dozor (£9.09 at Amazon.co.uk)
Blind buy. Russian vampire movies in a double-pack.

A blast from the past arrived for me today...

Monster Squad: The Complete Series

Pete, did you see my topic in the Movies bit about Dark Shadows? I wondered if you were aware of that series...

addicted2dvd

I never seen Dark Shadows... but I have been curios about it. I would consider a blind buy... but I would need to know what set to start with as I like to see a show from the beginning. For some reason I tend to enjoy a show more if I see it from the beginning.

I was disappointed by this.

Two really good films, in the cinema release the subtitles were extremely well done, can't comment on the DVD version as I haven't watched my copy yet.

It's confusing enough for me not be able to say exactly which is which, but I considered a Blu upgrade and seem to remember, that only the original 2-disc DVD had the funky subs version included of Night Watch. Day Watch never had them on disc.

The comments I had read before buying it said something, that the release only included standard Blu-ray subtitles and not the theatrical release subtitles. I don't know either, so I won't miss anything.

I got quite a few DVDs for Father's Day. I finally got around to putting the one TV set into DVDP. I'm hoping to get the rest in this weekend. I'll post more then.

:yahoo: I was hocked on this show from the 1st episode those many years ago. Now I have the complete collection.

Ah, well, I do already have the 2-disc edition, but I won't be upgrading, because those subs are cool... :P
