Not your fault. It had the same basic plot (nearly) every other romance movie has. Boy meets girl or vice versa and for some reason they either don't like each other or they don't recognize each other. Then they get closer, sleep together and then one of them (usually he) does something incredibly stupid. She rans away and he has to win her back for the grand finale.

This movie had the same plot but there was no real heart in it. I liked her much better in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.


PS: The cover says "The best romcom of the year". I don't give anything on such advertisements, but how can a movie be the "comedy of the year" when I never even heard of it before I saw it in the DVD stands?

Karsten, you obviously like the idea of romantic comedies, otherwise you wouldn't watch them. Me, I can't stomach them! I'm being unfair, there are a couple like Working Girl. But I love the classics and I know you've said before you haven't seen many old films, but you're wasting your time if you disregard them in favour of pap like Alex and Emma!

Happy Father's Day Everyone!

I just got my Father's Day presents from Brittany. She got me 3 new DVDs for my collection. A superhero movie and a couple releases from my childhood as she knows I like to collect that stuff for nostalgic reasons.  She got me...


Daredevil: Director's Cut
I have the original release. But never seen the Director's cut of the film which added 30 minutes to the movie. From what I understand this changes a lot in the movie. Making it better then the original release. So looking forward to seeing this one for the first time... Again.


Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1960s: Volume 1
Cartoons that I grew up watching. Never forget how I would wake up first thing in the morning Saturdays still in my PJ's eating some sort of super-sweet cereal in front of the TV. The 1960s set has cartoons such as Top Cat, Quick Draw McGraw, Secret Squirrel, Porky Pig, The Flintstones, Magilla Gorilla, Atom Ant, Ricochet Rabbit... and many more. Of course what with me being born in 1969 I seen all these in rerun.


Saturday Morning Cartoons: 1970s: Volume 1
Now the '70s... most of these were the cartoons I watched first run when I was a kid. This set includes cartoons such as Josie and the Pussy Cats, The Funky Phantom, Batman and Tarzan, The Jetsons, Yogi Bear, Goober and the Ghost Chasers, Speed Buggy, The Amazing Chan and the Chan Clan, Hong Kong Phooey... and many more.

Not bad if I say so myself... a nice little collection of fun.
