Polizeiinspektion 1: Staffel 1 (Amazon.de)
A classic Bavarian cop show. No American cop show can compete with the suspense and excitement of this series! Just look at the opening theme!

Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... (Amazon.de)

10 seasons and only 12 people voted on "Polizeiinspektion 1" on IMDb?

The opening theme looked like it would be more suitable for "Kommissar Rex".  ;)

I always watched it when I caught it on TV in the reruns.

Well, that's a kind of local thing IMHO!

OMG! 23 seasons!? And still not canceled? Wow! I thought that kind of longevity was reserved for brit-soaps like Eastenders and Emmerdale.

Bless you, sir, for mentioning them, but they are mere kids compared with Corrie!  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronation_Street

I don't watch it, I should hasten to add. I occasionally find myself far more interested in Emmerdale than is normal for someone like me... :-[

Yeah, but American's can't make decent TV dramas! I've seen clips. They are hilarious! :tease: And you have to realise the sustained quality of British drama and how ingrained it is in our culture. Storylines regularly become conversation topics in workplaces. Who Killed Dirty Den? To be honest, I don't give a crap, but I was in the minority!

Coronation Street: 50 years!
General Hospital: 42 years! (12,000+ episodes)

Are the DVD Complete Sets packaged in trucks? :headscratch:

Dragonfire

General Hospital is a soap opera..the only one of those that I know of being released on DVD is the original version of Dark Shadows.  I can't remember how long that one was one, but I've seen a lot of DVD sets for it.

0650 - Layover £0.10
0651 - The Hills: Season 3 £0.00
0652 - Miss Congeniality £1.00

I won The Hills but the best excuse I have for double dipping on Miss Congeniality (this is the Deluxe Edition) is Ernie Hudson.

When I glanced at that chart I thought I saw longer running shows so I checked. The longest running soap opera is the Guiding Light with 57 years.  :o

I longest running show on that list is Meet the Press, 62 years. I never knew that it had been on that long.

Actually I'm amazed at the number of shows and how long they were on.
