Dragonfire

I double dipped again...and yes I still blame Jon.  It may be illogical, but at least I'm consistent.

Funny, I just ordered it yesterday as well. Together with Firefly, which was at a moree reasonable price now ($28 rather than $43).

Dragonfire

I've seen the Blu-ray of Firefly on sale recently..I've been tempted, but so far I haven't gotten it.

Is Jon to blame for you getting Serenity too? ;)

No, he's off the hook with me. I had it on the wish list for a while and the reviews I have seen said all that it's 4.5-5 stars in picture quality.

Admittedly though, I'll blame him for Firefly. His detailed reviews strengthened my feelings for the show.

Dragonfire

Ahh ok.  Well I had figured I'd get Serenity on Blu even before I got a Blu-ray player, but I decided when I got Toy Story, Toy Story 2 and Bug's Life on Blu, that I was blaming Jon for those upgrades...and all future Blu-ray purchases, so I must remain consistent and blame him for Serenity too.

Dragonfire

I did it again.

The Dark Knight

North by Northwest

I have decided to make a one time exception to blaming Jon in the case of North by Northwest.  Achim actually first posted about this one on Blu-ray in the Hitchcock thread and kept tempting Jon till he caved and bought it.  So..North by Northwest is Achim's fault, but The Dark Knight is still Jon's fault..just because. :)

I've not upgraded yet, but I am tempted to upgrade Corpse Bride. If WB had included lossless audio I would have caved already. I've got a friend who might be interested in the DVD w/ artbook, so if I sell to him I'll definitely be upgrading. The Nightmare Before Christmas is another temptation. It's a shame that Vincent (an included short film) isn't in HD too.

Dragonfire

I forgot to mention before...I ordered Cars, Ratatioulle - I learned how to spell that when the movie came out..mainly because of my review.  I've since forgotten how to spell it :lol - and Wall-E on Blu-ray tonight.  So I will have double dipped on all the Pixar movies that are out on Blu.

They need to hurry up and releasing Finding Nemo and The Incredibles already.  ;)

Ratatouille :D

Ever since that film I have never forgotten how to spell that word.

This was my latest upgrade:

Saving Private Ryan

At the moment I'm thinking about upgrading "The Sand Pebbles". The German blu-ray release is supposed to be uncut (about 12 min more than the dvd release)

You'll see it's worth it.

I happily take the blame for North By Northwest and you will find that the upgrade to Blu-ray is worth your while as well. Watch out for the IMAX scenes, where the 2.35 image opens up to the full 1.78 of your screen

All Pixar films are worthy upgrades.

Same for me

Dragonfire

For a while after Ratatouille came out, I could still spell it...but the knowledge left my brain.

Najemikon

I think Achim should start sharing the blame for all your Blus! :tease:

Dragonfire

He does get the blame for North by Northwest.  That's the only Blu I remember him going on about.
