I must emit some type of force field that causes interference in the computer world. I used a computer in college once and somehow caused the entire system to do things no one had seen before. They never could figure out what happened.

Kathy,

Are you sure you are opening the file that is circled?

Because it sounds like you might be opening the Data folder (Highlighted in Blue, above) and then trying to open an XML file. If you don't have an XML editor, Windows will ask you if you want to search the web for a program to run it.

Ooooo...something new happened!

:thanks: for the picture - it really helped.

I can't wait to play with it!  :yahoo:

The first thing I noticed was "skipversioncheck"

In your next upgrade, could you possibly add the option to parse (Uncredited) crew members? A lot of films, up until the early 40's, have crew members who are listed as such, and the program doesn't pick them up.

doesn't the program parse it, yet?

It does cast members, but I haven't been able to do the crew.

Here's the last profile I did, Gunga Din (1939)...

Note that there are only 2 film editors listed.

Here's the IMDB crew member listings it was parsed from...

It doesn't parse John Sturges.

That's because DVD Profiler has no data field for uncredited crew. So I left it out. (So far, it's a feature).

I think about adding an option, but be aware that DVDP will not distinguish between credited and uncredited crew.

Can it be made to list the person under the crew assignment as a "custom role"?

Tom

Even though I have "Custom Credits" not included, "Co-Producer" still is listed as custom production role.
Noticed it with the third season of "Just Shoot Me!" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118364/)

DJ Doena

That's because I specifically added Co-Producer to my transformation list. Start EditIMDbToDVDProfilerCrewRoleTransformation.exe and remove it from the Producer  entries if you don't want it.
