Finally received this one from Amazon.ca this morning (it was supposed to be released in september and the date had changed three times).

A movie that I've appreciated in the Chilling Classic Boxset last year (even if the print used was really crappy)...
Now we have a real quality released for this one.
The wait continue for Naked Massacre, Scream Bloody Murder and Silent Night, Bloody Night (3 others good film from the same boxset).

Aaarrrgghh!
On Saturday my order of the "Star Trek" Blu-ray was finally shipped. I thought I will have it by Tuesday at the latest. No luck. It arrived today at my Packstation. But when I went by it after work, it was out of order  :weep:

I am kinda hoping my Star Trek DVD will show up today. I will probably try to save it for this weekend. But if it does show up before then I don't know if I will be able to wait to watch it or not.  :P

I have to wait until Saturday anyway before I watch it. I promised my brother, that we will watch it together. But I would have watched the bonus material today. And also I have an external hard disc waiting for me at the Packstation. I finally came around buying one. I haven't made a backup of my pictures and stuff for ages. There is only so much which fits on a 1GB USB drive. My Profiler backup and SVN repositories take it up almost by themselves.

The American Astronaut (2001)
R1-US Facets (2005)

Black & white space opera/western/musical by Cory McAbee (Billy Nayer Show). This has been sitting on my wishlist for too long and is OOP now, but I managed to get it for a reasonable price. Well, at least compared to the $80 asked for on Amazon anyway. Still don't really know what to expect, but Star Trek it is not, that's for sure.

Arrived in the mail today...

Sorry Tom... but  :yahoo: I am going to try to save this one for Friday... as I like to watch my movies on the weekends (Fri-Sun).  But no promises!  :P

I haven't bought anything since mid-September and I know I shouldn't buy anything (massage therapy for my legs is completely killing my savings) , but I might just have to cave-in for this one.

I've beena fan of JJ Abrams since I saw Alias... so him taking on Star Trek? You bet it's a must-have!!

 I was in the same boat... I knew I shouldn't buy it with our finances right now... but I had to have it! Besides got it at amazon for only $9.99 (single disc version).

EDIT: I just looked and Amazon raised their price for it to $14.99

Problem is I'm in Canada, so forget interesting specials for new releases

I can't believe this... but I did it again. I just blind bought a short-lived TV series because it was extremely cheap ($8.67 shipped). Hopefully it is a good (even though short lived) series.

Day Break: The Complete Series

Anyone here know of this one??

I do. Never saw it properly, but I believe it's very repetitive. A victim of it's own idea. It's like Groundhog Day; he relives the same day each episode until he gets it right I think. If I'm right, I'll be interested in your reviews because I can't imagine how it can stand up to the same events every time!

I have also bought it blind some time ago. I still haven't watched past the first episode. It wasn't bad, but it just didn't pull me in enough to continue watching right then and something else came in-between. And to this day I still haven't continued watching it. But I will some day.

addicted2dvd

Thanks guys... I did like Groundhog Day. As well as several TV Show episodes that used that same plot. So Maybe I will enjoy this one.  :)

I think I did a review of the pilot some time back, and we watched so far the first 4 episodes.
It's quite good but as has been said, it got repetitive and we found better things to watch so it slipped back into the 'must finish one day' pile

Went to Futureshop and got a nice steelbook:
