For the record... 2 stars is not a very good movie. If you figure a 5 star rating... which is what I always use. That would mean 2.5 is an average (mid-level) rating. So 2 stars would be slightly below average (fair movie)... and 3 stars would be slightly above average (good movie).

Not even sure of this, because of her father she had a better cinema culture than most of the other teenagers. By the way make a fast check before since it's the unrated version and not the original theatre PG13 (I know that you are more strict than me on that).

Well... After all this I decided to find the trailer for Date Movie and see what that would tell me. OK... I love spoof (whether Airplane style or Scary Movie style) But I have to admit... this Date Movie does not look that good. I will be going into this one with very low (no) expectations.

I ordered Superhero Movie... so it should be here soon. Hopefully it will be better then this one. Atleast I have seen the trailer for it... and it looks like a lot of fun to me.

 

Superhero Movie got even worse reviews than Meet the Spartans... 

Funny you should say that... I almost bought Meet the Spartans instead of Date Movie when I was at Walmart yesterday. But I didn't because I thought I remembered some bad reviews for it 

But at least I did see the trailer for Superhero movie... and whether good or not... the trailer looked good to me. 

This is written by the same guy who had written Scary Movie 3 and 4, so I suppose that Pete will appreciate it. David Zucker is a producer too (maybe he had something to say).

By the way it can't be worse than any movie written by Jason Friedberg & Aaron Seltzer (even Spy Hard that is the best they had written, I ain't saying that it's a good movie in any way).

I really like these movies from back in the seventies and eighties, like "Airplane" and "Naked Gun" and "Loaded Weapon".

But then the "templates" droped seriously in quality and the parodies dropped even more. I enjoy "American Pie" but it's already on a level where on doesn't need a parody of.

I've seen most of the Scary Movies and liked them for the most part.  Yes they were silly and stupid, but I still enjoyed them.

I watched Date Movie on HBO last year.  Since I've liked some other spoof type movies, I decided to give this one a chance even knowing it got horrible reviews.  That was a huge stinking mess of a movie.  It pulled stuff from entirely too many movies, including some that weren't even romantic comedies like it was supposed to be making fun of.  It was horrible.  I would rather scrub grout with a toothbrush all day than watch this thing again.  0 stars from me.  When I posted a review on Epinions, I gave it 1 star because there is no option for 0.    - I think that is for the lowest rating here.  In fact make it double - 

I watched Epic Movie last year on HBO too..after suffering through Date Movie.  I'm still not sure why I did this to myself.  Holy cow was this horrid..even worse than Date Movie in some respects.  It was just a huge mess and I still don't know how this got made.  I will never ever ever watch this again for any reason.  It was so bad I wish I could have given it negative stars when I did my review on Epinions.   

I've seen some of Meet the Spartans..again on HBO.  That was too stupid for words.  I did see Superhero Movie last fall when a friend rented it.  I had very low expectations.  That one I enjoyed some.  It wasn't as much of a mangled mess as the others.  It wasn't great, but it wasn't horrible either.  I didn't do a review of this one, but it was mildly entertaining.  So maybe you'll like it.     I probably would have gone with 3 stars on Epinions if I had written about it - rounded up from 2.5 since we can't use half stars there.

Hmmm...I don't remember that being in Superhero Movie when I saw it, but it could have been.  Dragonfly was the name of the main superhero in the movie.  I'm thinking there might have been something going on with Tom Cruise claiming he was a superhero too in the movie.  I don't remember for sure though.

Hulk Vs. (Blind Buy)

This release contains both animated features of Hulk vs. Wolverine and Hulk vs. Thor. I never seen either of these... but the trailers looked like they could be fun.
