I'd say no. Sorry, Kathy.  :P

Fantasy creatures may or may not be given the power of speech or communication, but it is a contrivance by the author all the same. In other words, the communication is two-way and accepted as normal within the logic of that particular fantasy... ???  :weirdo: In the spirit of Rick's original suggestion, I think it should only be creatures that we know to be real, even if they are presented in a fantasy, or even animated, world.

And before you ask, Kathy, I'm afraid dragons aren't real, regardless of what you saw that strange night in '73.  :tease:

I originally said yes but I'm sure we can come up with 15 using real animals so I scratched out Kathy's submission. 2 "nothing personal" positive points added to Kathy

Interesting though you say animated is OK. Hadn't thought that one out when I made the original suggestion. Makes it too easy. Bugs Bunny/Elmer Fudd Yogi Bear/Ranger Smith Scooby Doo/Shaggy Just about every Disney animated film ever made. The list is real easy when you use cartoons. But hey... the last couple have been pretty hard. We needed some fluff  :P

DJ Doena

We could restict the list to movies where humans and animals usually do not talk to each other (e.g. my Ratatouille ;)).

In the Bugs Bunny universe it comes to Jon's declaration of "accepted as normal within the logic of that particular fantasy". ;)

But...but...but...I'm a "star". I thought "stars" always get their own way.

That's extremely unfair to dragons. And to winged cats too!  ;D

Yup. Poor ol' Draco. He has such a nice connery voice.

I believe the defendant, though cheeky, should be allowed to enter Harry.

That sounded so very wrong on several levels!  :o

Anyway, Harry is presented in the beginning as a mute animal and so the communication is the story. He's just a big monkey! :2cents:

DJ Doena

Then I believe ninehours completed the list and has to open the next.
