Now you've made me curious Matthias, what is your favorite TV series?
If you solve this one, I will tell you.  :)
If it's german, you can let me guess first :D

I don't usually watch TV shows where women look like this and so I guess with the only one I actually know:

Is it Highlander?

No, Highlander is not even close. And what do you mean by "where women look like this"?  :hmmmm: Anyway, she also looks like this:

And this shot probably gives it away:

The other TV show (the favorite one) is indeed a German series. I can post a link to a screenshot later, if you want to take a stab at it.

I am curious too :)

If it's German, it's true that the others wouldn't be able to guess it. Few of our TV series are known internationally. Derrick of course being the most exported one, IIRC.

She looked a bit mid-19th-century to me.

Still no idea

The Singing Detective?
That is correct. Did you need the 3rd shot?

For those who don't know it: The Singing Detective is a UK miniseries by Dennis Potter about a pulp fiction writer, who is hospitalized due to a severe skin condition. He identifies himself with the detective hero of one of his more successful novels and starts re-working that story in his mind again and again, while at the same time reflecting on his childhood memories. Oh, and it's also a musical.

dvdtimes has an excellent and insightful review based on the UK release (IIRC, an US release exists as well). There is also an US movie remake, which is surprisingly good, but I strongly recommend to watch the original series first.

Okay, so I start a little side game for my German fellows, but I post only the links instead of including the pictures to avoid confusion with the main game - meaning the board is yours, ninehours.

OK,  :surrender:

But I could have only known it, if it would have been Raumpatrouille Orion or Cobra 11. ;)

Thanks for the pics, goodguy.I definitely don't know it. Either because it came out after I left Germany or because it's just not something I'd watch :bag:

I've never watched TMB, only seen clips thought that it was tremendously unfunny.

But no idea what it is from that pic  :surrender:

Perhaps a separate thread for western hemisphere TV shows would allow those of us on the left side of the pond to participate more fully.

Najemikon

Nah! This thread swings back and forth and makes it fun. Us Europeans have a go at stumping you lot and vice versa. We end up recommending various shows to each other in the meantime. Spaced is proving popular for instance...
