DVD Collectors Online

I am on one of the campus computers right now... I can't even long onto the guest wifi anymore! I haven't been able to since yesterday afternoon! So aggravating!

I had the kids over for dinner last night. Unfortunately we had to cut it short, so all we got to watch is 1 stand up comedian DVD. They are really keeping the kids busy this weekend!

I mean I am glad I came... but I would have preferred a little more time with her this weekend!

It is actually considered a smaller campus. The map does make it look huge... but the buildings are fairly close together. She seems to love her dorm room.

I got some pics of the kids while I had them over for dinner last night. Including a few of them having a cupcake/icing fight. And today I am going to try to get a few pics of their dorm room. But I won't be able to post them until after I leave tomorrow. Possibly on the way home if I have wifi... if not I won't get to it till the 2nd.

I am so not looking forward to tomorrow! Not only do I have to leave Brittany here... but a long 14hr bus trip home alone! 

Well... that was great! I wish I met her the first day I got here! While I was in the main lobby using one of the school's computers (just found that this morning!) an nice young lady comes down the stairs. Turns out she is a recent graduate from the school here for a visit.

I asked her if they were having trouble with the wifi and she said yes... wifi here sucks! and that I should be able to find an ethernet cord in the room... use it... it is much better.

i search... I find it... plug in.. everything is working great can even get to the sites i couldn't on wifi! (facebook/imdb/blog site).

I must say... I feel better now!

That's good that you found someway to get online that works better. 

I just got back from bringing Brittany some left over food I had in the suite... and said our final goodbyes before my getting on the bus to go home. Why is it that it seemed to be a lot easier on her then it was on me? Leaving her dorm I was all but in tears... holding it back so Britt's Resident Advisor (who had to escort me through the dorm) didn't see me tearing up. It is hard for me to get over the fact that was the last time I will see Britt for months!

I found myself a little behind for checking out of my suite (plus check-out is hours earlier then my bus leaves. So on the way back to my suite I stopped by the main office to see if I could check out a little late... they checked to see when the next reservation is due to arrive and then told me they could give me to 12! an extra 2 hours!

I made it home safe and sound.... seems weird to be home without Britt here. Feeling tired so will keep it short and sweet tonight. Catch you all tomorrow.

I am a bit bummed today.... found out Brittany can't come home for Thanksgiving.

That sucks.  I think I missed every Thanksgiving while I was in school.  Always made it for Christmas, but nothing else.  It's not a lot of fun. 

I have my fingers crossed for Christmas... but we will have to see.

Nope... she won't be there anyway. She has plans to go with her roommate to their place for Thanksgiving.

My freshman year I house-sat for a friend.  My buddy brought some cranberry juice and vodka.  To this day I can't drink cranberry juice! And that's when I discovered that vodka makes me blackout.  Every single time.  I can drink whiskey all night, have a sip of vodka and not remember a thing the next day.  Anyway, I woke up the next day with dried blood caked in my hair and bruises & scratches all over my body.  Turns out my friend was a mean drunk.  Drug me down 2 flights of stone steps by my ankles.  Then threw me in a sunken tub (again, stone tiled) because I was bleeding.  And that's where I woke up.

Hopefully her first Thanksgiving away from home is... gentler.  

I'll be crossing my fingers for Christmas.  That was always such a nice break.
