Well.. it looks like doing this by blog is out. Hollins Guest wifi does not allow blogging or social networks. Which also means Facebook is also out.

Obviously... as you can tell I made it to Hollins. Sitting in my suite now. it is a very nice place. the house was built in 1903... which proved to be a little problematic for me. As all the plug ins in this house is the 2 prong instead of the 3 prong. All except some of the plugs in the kitchen which means I must use the computer on battery..... then take it in the kitchen to charge it. And for some strange reason it charges really slow.

I did get some pics on the journey.... though not nearly as many as I wanted to.

I will post some as soon as possible. Though it my not be tonight... as I am exhausted! As of right now I am at 36 hours with no sleep. So I may just hit the sack at instead.

Pete sent me a personal message and told me to let everyone know that the hollins wifi is blocking him and he can't post now from there.  I guess this means it may be awhile before we get anymore messages from him.

That seems odd that the wifi there won't let guests use it for certain things..   Hope he can get some sleep.

I can post here. Just can't post at a lot of the well known forums/blog sites/Facebook etc.

So the blog is now out... as well as most places I was posting about my tip.

And I just found out they are blocking where I upload images.. no photosharing sites!?!

Why do they even bother giving guests free wifi if they don't want them to use it! 

Maybe you need to ask for access - it couldn't hurt to check.

Yeah Kathy... I tried asking about it. didn't help. It seems that the student wifi gets slow sometimes... what with all the students accessing it. So a lot of the students were taking up the guest wifi... to discourage this they limited a lot of stuff with the guest connection.

Wow! Was this a busy day! We were out and about starting at 7:30am... and continued to 7pm.

I am a little down and lonely this evening. First night for Brittany in her dorm. And away from the rest of my family. This is actually the first night I had all by myself in many years! Matter of fact... if I am not mistaken.. this is the first night I been totally alone since I was in my early 20s... so it has been a good 20 years.

So  am sitting here... typing on the computer... about to pop in a horror movie till I get tired and feel like I am ready to hit the sack.

OK... I can attach the photos to the posts... the above one (click it to see it bigger)... is of Brittany and a friend of the family. This guy was good enough to come to the house in the middle of the night to take us to meet the bus.
