The Squid And The Whale + Awakenings?  ???  Odd choice of double act whoever came up with that one!  :laugh:

Yupp, thought so too. But since I had both on my wishlist anyway I didn't care too much about this.

This "Best of Hollywood"-series is a nice way of inflating your collection. The DVDs are the normal retail DVDs, just bundled and significantly cheaper (DVD-bundles usually <10 €, BluRay-bundles usually < 16 €).

What prompted you to get that? I remember a favorable review on DVDTimes that got me slightly curious, but never enough to follow up on it.
I have recently the first Series of Misfits (Series 2 already ordered) and really liked Robert Sheehan in it. Thought I try another one, really as simple as that. I have seen the trailer beforehand, as to not order completely blind, and it seemed like it could be o.k.; it's one of those "weekend gone wrong" things...

Funny thing is: AFAIK you ordered that after I posted the link here. Yet mine only arrived today.

Received today my package from the VXP sales I ordered a week ago (I wonder if the friend to whom I talked about it got some stuff also :headscratch:).

Probably no one here know those movies (except for one other person maybe...)

[whatyagot=aesppres.com/phpdvdprofiler]828320060487[/whatyagot]
1h34 of adult film trailers (this is what I mean when I say I watch movie, Degenerate Schoolgirls #10 doesn't have a trailer)
[whatyagot=aesppres.com/phpdvdprofiler]828320690035[/whatyagot]
The most recent Platinum Elite release. This film is based on the Charles Dickens' story and was made by Shaun Costello who do also a commentary for it.
[whatyagot=aesppres.com/phpdvdprofiler]828320060159[/whatyagot]
One of the earliest West Coast production made in 1970 by Harold Kovner who did also the excellent Time to Love. This one is a white coater.
[whatyagot=aesppres.com/phpdvdprofiler]828320057692[/whatyagot]
Another early production from 1972 that seems to be kind of like The Schoolgirl Report film made in Germany in the same period. Except for Clair Dia none of the name sound really familliar to me...

Expect to see reviews of the three films soon but not on my blog as usual :whistle:

This one took a while to get here! I ordered it almost 2 weeks ago... finally found it in my mailbox today...

Supernatural: Season 5

This catches me up on the series... until the current season is released. :)

I'll need to buy some BR cases.. I'm not leaving them in the cardboard chest.. ugh! I hate it when they try t be cute with packaging and end up making it worse!

Jimmy

You mean the discs are in the box with nothing to keep them in place... and I tought that Mills Creek were cheap with their enveloppe.

No. The box is filled with a sort of foam and each disc has its own slot. But I hate it! I'm much rather have 3 slim case inside the chest, instead of foam.

Jimmy

Kind of like the Sliders seasons set? I'm always scared to scratch the disc each time I get them out.

addicted2dvd

Yeah... season 1 of Sliders is like that. It is one of the very few sets I replaced the case on. The following seasons of Sliders is in digipaks... at least in the US.

On a side note... I really wish they would release the final season of Sliders!

Similarly, I got the first season of Wagon Train in a collector's tin and the 10 discs were in a cardboard booklet...very tight fits for the discs.  Luckily, I put all my westerns in a couple binders so they didn't stay in there.
