We just finished season 1 here at work and are working on season 2.  Every Tuesday & Thursday we watch a TV show here.  Having finally wrapped up Supernatural, we've moved on to this.  It was fun since I'd not seen it in ages. ;D

:O Where do you work?

Dragonfire

I was very tempted to go right into the first episode of the second season..just because of how the last episode ended.  But it was already late and I had to work today.  I may watch that tonight.  I was thinking I would watch a different series next..but who knows...I seem to be hooked.   :D

I work for a Health Insurance Company. :bag: But we're one of the good ones! Really, I swear!

It started years ago watching a TV show every Thursday during lunch.  Then eventually we changed it to Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Then this past fall one of the guys started a Lame Movie Friday event during lunch where we watch and laugh at lame movies.

So far we've worked our way through Babylon 5, Lost, Firefly, Smallville, Supernatural, season 1 of Arrested Development and maybe a couple I've forgotten. In case our choices didn't give us away, we work in the IT department.

Back on topic, someone today commented that the guy who plays Dick Casablancas was a horrible actor.  I said if you don't like Dick,
you'll hate season 3 since he returns.
The only girl in the group blurts out, I Love Dick!  On purpose no less! I just love women who aren't afraid to hang with the guys! :hysterical:

So I just finished the first mini-mystery in season 3.  I must say that I've spoken very badly of the third season in the past.  But on my second trip through, I'm really enjoying it much more.  That how it usually works when my expectations are set too high.

Thought it would it this old thread:

There'll be a movie!

I think I'll watch that...

Dragonfire

I'm sure I'll watch it too.  I still have to watch the third season.   :bag:

Am I the only one who think that a major studio using Kickstarter to finance a movie is absolutly ridiculous... Kickstarter exist for independant company as the only solution to realize a project, not for mega studio to suck fan money.

Just because of that you will see some independant projects dying because they will not reach their small goal to start their works. Way to kill a good solution for the real projects who need money... Major studio have money to finance their project already, but it's the return of the good old "kill the independant" method. Nothing new here... this is what they did by killing the drive-in, controlling the MPAA and taking over the theatre.

Sorry to rain on your love parade...

Kathy

Or it might help Kickstarter make enough money to finance even more independent films.

Bringing some sunshine to your love parade... ;D

I can definately understand your view Jimmy, but I think what they are offering isn't far off retail proces anyway, so people donating can pretty much consider this a pre-order.

$50 gets you a DVD, Digital Copy, T-Shirt, .pdf Script and updates. A tad expensive, but considering the DVD will be $15 and a tv/movie t-shirt generally costs $25 in a shop, it isn't a bad deal for fans to show their support.

The jump to $100 adds a Blu-ray and poster which is definately too much IMO and those that are donating a ton of money just have more moeny than sense, but some of the lower deals aren't bad at all.

You're not alone Jimmy.  I read basically the same thing on Facebook a few days ago.

Kickstarter doesn't finance the projects Kathy, this is a middle man between a project in need and the possible backers. They keep a % of the contribution to cover their cost, but except for that everything collected goes to the project if he reach his goal.
