Plot:

My Thoughts:
After watching The Exorcist with Brittany the other day... I felt like watching another movie with Linda Blair. This is actually an old TV Movie. Yes I realize there is an MPAA rating above for this movie... but it is one of those rare occasions where a TV Movie put through the MPAA for an official rating at the time of it's DVD release. Another familiar face in this movie is Fran Drescher (The Nanny) who has a small part as Rachel's friend. This is actually one of the few movies I have dealing with witchcraft... at least compared to other horror sub-genres. Being a '70s TV movie there is of course no type of gore and most of the bad things that happens occur off screen. But it is a good story with characters you care about. I enjoyed this one quite a bit... I would recommend checking it out.

Plot:
Thrills and chills ooze all over you in House of Wax, from Dark Castle Entertainment and legendary horror producers Joel Silver and Robert Zemeckis (Gothika, House on Haunted Hill).

When their car breaks down on a road trip, six college friends are sidetracked into an eerie backwoods town. Curiosity gets the better of them when they are intrigued by its macabre House of Wax. They soon find out that the town is not what it seems and they must find their way out before they fall victim to its ghoulishly inventive killers.

Another teenage fright fest.  It's a wonder any of them make it to adulthood.  Nick is the only interesting one in the whole group and he does a good job playing the "bad boy".  Some rather gruesome scenes and a couple of scary moments, but nothing particularly special.

Derek gets a little background story, which is good. The first few episodes they made it look like, that it was a regular thing to send resistance fighters back in time and now there a lot of them running around. But in this episode I get more the feeling, that the group we saw killed in the beginning of the series was maybe the only group which was sent back. Or maybe one of very few groups. I hope this is right. I don't like the idea, that they could introduce yet other people from the future whenever they feel like they need some for the story.
