Horror/Halloween Marathon 2023 Count: 35

This month Iwill be doing the Letterboxd Scavengerhunt hosted by the user named preisman Below is the propts... 1 prompt per day of the month... that I have to watch though  I can watch as fast as I like. That is if I can watch them all before the month is over. Wish me luck!

1. My first Scavenger Hunt was #41 way back in 2018. It was one of the main reason I joined Letterboxd. And a reason I keep coming back. I only reached 13 out of 30 films for my first try. And I really want to finally complete the challenge.

This is the first half way decent film that I remember finding off hand based off the Lizzie Borden case. I liked the cast and the storywas done pretty well also. Another one I found at the library that I will added to my collection if found at a resonable price.

Over-all I enjoyed this one. While I knew this was a comedy horror... there was more comedy then I was expecting there to be. And the comedy in it was a bit hit and miss for me. And for those of you that it bothers the gore factor is definitely up there on this one. I found myself keep going back and forth on how much I actually enjoyed this one. In the end I came out in favor of... but there is definitely better out there.

Tonight I watched The Gabby Petito Story, a true story that aired on Lifetime Movie Network.

Plot:
Follows Gabby’s tragic murder. Centering in her complicated relationship with her fiancé Brian Laundrie and what may have gone wrong during their cross-country trip. The disappearance of Gabby Petito captured America’s attention, setting off a nationwide search for the 22-year-old travel blogger after her parents reported her missing in September 2021, when she failed to return home following her cross country “van-life” trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie. Non-stop coverage on the news drove amateur sleuths to dissect Gabby’s social media posts for clues about what happened to her during her trip, leading to the eventual discovery of her body in Wyoming.

My Thoughts:
Follows Gabby’s tragic murder. Centering in her complicated relationship with her fiancé Brian Laundrie and what may have gone wrong during their cross-country trip. The disappearance of Gabby Petito captured America’s attention, setting off a nationwide search for the 22-year-old travel blogger after her parents reported her missing in September 2021, when she failed to return home following her cross country “van-life” trip with her fiancé Brian Laundrie. Non-stop coverage on the news drove amateur sleuths to dissect Gabby’s social media posts for clues about what happened to her during her trip, leading to the eventual discovery of her body in Wyoming. As the one-year anniversary of her tragic death approaches, the movie will bring to life Gabby and Brian’s doomed love story, including the warning signs that Gabby’s life was in danger, the ensuing search for her, the eventual discovery of her murder and ultimately, Brian’s suicide.

The amityville franchise has always been a favorite of mine. Even I admit that the films has gotten a bit tired here and there. This one while a little slow I did enjoy. I found the storyline interesting and liked the characters. I feel it is worth the time put in to watch it.
