Plot:
Comedy superstar Jim Carrey plays a hot-blooded teen who becomes the reluctant donor to a sultry - and extremely thirsty - nocturnal nymph [Lauren Hutton] in this "funny...sexy" [Boxoffice] send-up of the horror genre!

Mark [Carrey] has just one thing on his mind: going all the way. But while his girlfriend keeps telling him he has to wait, he meets a beautiful vampire countess (Hutton) who's ready for action! Mark's just happy to get past second base...but after a one-night stand with the sexy seductress, Mark starts behaving more than a little batty and realizes he must find a way to break his lover's fiendish spell...or be prepared to work the graveyard shift forever!

My Thoughts:
Felt like a comedy this morning... so pulled this one out. It is one I haven't watched in a while. It is a fun movie... though it is not the best of it's kind out there. It is pretty silly at times. Though I must say I did like the girl that played Jim Carrey's girlfriend. An actress named Karen Kopins... checking my profiler I don't have much with her in it. Just an episode of Full house and an episode of the original Knight Rider. Lauren Hutton was of course good as well. And I like that while still doing his thing... in this one Jim Carey did go too nuts on the screen.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

Kleinruppin forever, a review by Tom

Title: Kleinruppin forever
Year: 2004
Director: Carsten Fiebeler
Rating: FSK-6
Length: 99 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78
Audio: German: Dolby Digital 5.1, German: Dolby Digital Stereo
Subtitles: German

Stars:Plot:
The film is set in 1985 and stars Tobias Schenke as Tim Winter, a West German teenager from Bremen with aspirations of being a professional tennis player. On a school trip to East Germany, Tim meets his identical twin brother Ronny (also played by Tobias Schenke). Ronny switches places with Tim, forcing Tim to experience life and love in East Germany.

Extras:
Featurettes

My Thoughts:
As I didn't grow up in the East, I cannot say how accurate the potrayal of the life in the GDR is (I'll have to take Karsten word for it, that it's very accurate). Therefore I concentrated on the love story. And in my opinion it fell a little flat. It may be because I found the main character very unlikable, even later on. And I couldn't see why Jana fell for him.
The question came up, if it is comparable to "The Life of Others". I wouldn't compare it to that movie. I would say it's more a movie like "Goodbye Lenin!".

Smallville Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Season 5: Disc 4:

EPISODE 13: VENGEANCE
Clark is in emotional lockdown, but he finds an understanding spirit in the person of a super-powered female vigilante. She, too, has lost a parent. However, something divides them: their attitudes about how to fight crime.

My Thoughts:
This was a great episode! They showed Clark close to the point of killing before he came to his senses. I loved the look of the Angel of Vengeance! Was an awesome look!

EPISODE 14: TOMB
Chloe hasn't been herself lately. The ghost of a murder victim possesses the 'Daily Planet' reporter's body in an attempt to find the killer and avenge her death. But that quest puts both Chloe and Lois in grave peril.

My Thoughts:
Another really good episode. Nothing like a good ghost/possession story for someone that is as big of a horror fan as I am!

EPISODE 15: CYBORG
Part man. Part machine. Victor Stone, the subject of secret bionic experiments at LuthorCorp, escapes and finds an ally in someone who knows what it's like to be different: CLARK KENT. Also: Lionel comes into possession of a certain secret.

My Thoughts:
This disc is 3 for 3! Another episode I liked a lot! This one brings Cyborg  in. Another of the Justice League comes to Smallville.
