Shooter, a review by KinkyCyborgShooter Title:Shooter Year: 2007 Director: Antoine Fuqua Rating: R Length: 126 Min. Thrilling movie about a black OP agency with no name that chooses the wrong guy to be their patsy. Top notch action, great story and great performances. I noticed early, even before the characters made reference to it, how after the assassination the similarities between this kill and the JFK assassination, how quickly information was available about the shooter mere minutes after the deed was done. Michael Pena's FBI role surmised this but he had difficulty finding people to listen or believe him. Danny Glover was ok but the part he was playing started to look a little foolish considering the amount of swagger and confidence he had but whose actions never panned out or justified the bravado. Two beauties in this one, Kate Mara & Rhona Mitra. Kate was great and gorgeous even with those sunken eyes. Rhona has always been a favorite of mine and although her character was a little uptight and fierce at first she redeemed herself with a simple scene... her answering the phone in her home with her hair let down and showing off her well toned midriff... deadly sexy! Wahlberg is quickly becoming one of my favorite action stars. He's no nonsense, leveled and more down to earth than most of the puffed up action stars of today. Curious to see him in the new action comedy The Other Guys, oddly paired up with the one dimensional Will Ferrell. I always loved the songs in this movie. And Drew Barrymore is really cute in this one. This movie and "50 First Dates" have a really good couple in Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Too bad those two didn't do more movies together.Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on April 3rd, 2010) Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom05. Reptile Boy (1997-10-13) Writer: Joss Whedon (Created By), David Greenwalt (Writer) Director: David Greenwalt Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), David Boreanaz (Angel), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Greg Vaughn (Richard), Todd Babcock (Tom Warner), Jordana Spiro (Callie), Robin Atkin Downes (Machida), Danny Strong (Jonathan), Christopher Dalhberg (Tackle), Jason Posey (Linebacker), Coby Bell (Young Man) A weak episode which I never really liked. Some funny Xander moments, but otherwise dull. Maybe it's because it's a cliched plot with a sorority which is doing funny business. There is a movie sound cliché which always bothers me and it did strike again in this episode. Why do cars in American movies/episodes always sqeak, when they are stopping (even with new cars)? I always think to myself, that maybe the brakes of American cars do make this sound. But why put this sound bite to German cars (like in this episode)? Maybe to not confuse the American audience?
