Jesus Christ Superstar, a review by JimmyMOVIE / DVD INFO: Title: Jesus Christ Superstar (1973) Genre: Musical Director: Norman Jewison Rating: G Length: 1h47 Video: Widescreen Audio: English & French Subtitles: English, French & Spanish Stars: Ted Neeley Carl Anderson Yvonne Elliman Barry Dennen Bob Bingham Plot: My Thoughts: I agree I cheat a little, since this isn't an unknown movie at all but it's been a long time since I've reviewed a film here. I've appreciated this one a lot more than anticipated, I was "traumatized" as a young child with the broadcasting of another version of the Christ story every year here. The music is really good, in fact I listen the movie again while I write this. All the performers had great voices, but Carl Anderson who plays Judas and Yvonne Elliman who plays Mary Magdalene (she's quite beautifull also) are above the rest. The idea of filming the movie in the Israel desert is a real good one since the scenery is astounding. Love the fact that the story is tell from the point of view of Judas since we are able to understand his reasonning for the treason he will do later (hope that I haven't spoil the end of the story for anyone ). An interesting fact, at least for me, this movie is the first one of Paul Thomas who will became a couple of years later one of the best actor in the adult movies I love so much. One thing that was puzzling me while watching is the fact that we don't see Mary at all, but finally I've understand at the end... Tim Rice who had written the opera is British and they don't believe in the Immaculate Conception like us the Roman Catholics Really there isn't a part of this movie that I haven't like. A sure recommandation for everyone except Pete Rating : (From The little known movie review depot on July 18th, 2009) Twilight, a review by Tom

My Thoughts: I have never seen any of these movies before. But I was always curious about it because of all the backlash it gets. I liked the beginning of the movie, when Bella first arrives in the town and meeting the other characters. But the movie falls apart when the romance with Edward begins. The dialog there is horrible and the flow of the romance seems more like a badly written fanfiction. I heard so much complaining of how the vampires are portrayed here (especially the glitter), that it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would. Overall the movie is not as bad as I thought it would be. This review was the final push for me to finally check out this movie. Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on November 4th, 2012) My PILOT Marathon, a review by RichSwinging - Series One Episode 1 A sketch show from Channel 5 which centres around relationships. The six episodes from Series 1 include the characters: Carla The Fussy Lay, Snobby Doggers, Prisoners Of Love, Miss Beasley, Sex Therapist, The Camp Fiancee, Tom's Parents, The Horse Whisperer, Nostalgic Guy and Wrong Boyfriend Vulgar and shock TV can sometimes be funny. Sadly on this pilot episode for a relatively unknown channel 5 series the laughs came thin and slow. It is a format of short sketches with repeating characters, all loosely linked to sex and swinging. Pretty base and pointless stuff, unknown cast, untested formula, I guess Ch5 were hoping the shock value may increase their profile on UK terrestrial TV - it didn't work.
