Two of the biggest action stars are together for the first time in one explosive adventure. JEAN-CLAUDE VAN DAMME is Luc Devreaux and DOLPH LUNDGREN is Sgt. But on an antiterrorist mission, Devreaux's memory starts to return and he escapes from the program. A superhuman chase across the country begins, with Sgt. My Thoughts:
This is another movie I haven't watched in several years. Not too bad for some mindless entertainment. I used to really enjoy Van Damme movies... but it seems over the years I just don't have the taste for them that I had. At least this one does have a bit of a sci-fi twist to it. So that added to the entertainment some.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

From Michael Bay, the producer of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, comes the true story of Amityville. In November 1974, a family of six was brutally murdered. Now, a year later, an unsuspecting young couple, George (Ryan Reynolds, Blade: Trinity, The In-Laws) and Kathy Lutz (Melissa George, TV's "Alias"), and their children move into the house that was the site of the horrific event and is now haunted by a murderous presence. What follows is 28 days of unimaginable terror. With demonic visions of the dead and relentless screams of terror, this is the haunted house story that isn't just a movie - it's real.

My Thoughts:
When I first heard that they were remaking "The Amityville Horror" I was rather worried that they would not do the original justice... or that they would make the same mistake they made with the "Psycho" remake.. and make it a carbon copy of the original just changing the actors. But this remake... I must admit... was done in the right way... kept enough the same to pay homage to the original... but changed enough to make it it's own movie.

For the most part I do not like to compare a remake to the original... as I like to judge every movie on it's own as a stand alone movie. But this is hard sometimes... especially when I enjoy the original movie as much as I do "The Amityville Horror." In this case though... I really enjoyed this remake... possibly as much as I liked the original. I think they did a wonderful job with it... and I really enjoy the actors that took over... I am a fan of both Melissa George and Ryan Reynolds. This is one remake that is definitely worth giving a chance... I don't think you will be sorry.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 2:

"She's A Man, Baby, A Man!"
Original Airdate: November 4, 1999
When Prue casts a spell to catch a demon who kills only men, she turns into a guy who is rendered powerless as the demon's fatal charms zero in on her.

My Thoughts:
This one is more of a fun episode then anything else. It was pretty funny to see Shannen Doherty as a man.

"That Old Black Magic"
Original Airdate: November 11, 1999
An evil witch hunts for her magic scepter, which Prue has found, while Leo, Piper and Phoebe must locate the Chosen One to keep the powerful scepter out of evil's hands.

My Thoughts:
A good episode.. but not one I would call great. I did get a kick out of them putting some lost documentary makers in the woods... claiming they were looking for the Blair Witch.

"They're Everywhere"
Original Airdate: November 18, 1999
The Charmed Ones must save a young man from brain-zapping Warlocks who
are after the power he has collected from ancient tablets.

My Thoughts:
This is a basic filler episode... a good one... but nothing really special here.

"P3 H20"
Original Airdate: October 21, 1999
Prue must face her greatest fear in order to destroy a watery demon when the sisters revisit the place where their mother suspiciously drowned. In the process, they meet a mysterious stranger from their mother's past.

My thoughts:
This is one I liked a lot. Goes back into the mother's past... and were we first learn of Sam. I remember watching this one for the first time.. thinking it is about time they finally face the demon that killed their mother!
