My Thoughts:
This movie is from a cheap 10 movie horror boxset I got long time ago called Tales of Terror. Unfortunately since it is in a cheap boxset the quality leaves some to be desired. I felt like I was watching an old VHS tape. After watching this movie I am really having a hard time reviewing it. As the movie itself is a bit on the confusing side... especially the ending. The acting could have been better... though not so bad that it was hard to watch. I was really feeling a bit on the disappointed side watching this one... as it seemed slow and pretty boring. there was one scene I did quite enjoy though... a scene in a movie theater. But it really wasn't enough to bring this movie up in scale past just an average movie.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

The Fly II, a review by addicted2dvd

The Fly II
Eric Stoltz delivers a terrifically well-metered performance as an ill-fated scientist's son who may share his father's fate. Martin Brundle (Stoltz) has experienced an accelerated growth rate since he first came into this world. But that's nothing compared to the change he undergoes when he falls for a beautiful researcher (Daphne Zuniga), and his hormones run amok...turning him into a walking nightmare!

My Thoughts:
This is another one I only seen the one time before... when it first came out on VHS. It is a good continuation to the first one. But I don't think it was as good of a movie. John Getz returned as Stathis (the guy that got his hand and foot dissolved. It is a shame they didn't get Geena Davis to return for Martin's mother... even if it only would have been the one scene.

The movie itself was done much like the first one. It starts off slow... more story oriented. But then comes to life with horror in the last half an hour. The last 30 minutes does contain a fair amount of gore as well. Over-all it was a good horror movie... but I have seen better.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5

"Due South" marathon, a review by Tom

1.05 Pizzas and Promises (1994-10-20)
Writer: Paul Haggis (Created By), David Shore (Writer)
Director: George Bloomfield
Cast: Paul Gross (Constable Benton Fraser), David Marciano (Detective Ray Vecchio), Beau Starr (Lt. Harding Welsh), Daniel Kash (Detective Louis Gardino), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey), Catherine Bruhier (Elaine), Ramona Milano (Francesca Vecchio), Fab Filippo (Lenny Milano), Harvey Atkin (Tex Markles), Debra McGrath (Tammy Markles), Patrick McKenna (Gary Redfield)

The guy who played Buffy's short-time boyfriend Scott Hope guest stars as the Pizza delivery guy whose car gets stolen. Great scenes with Francesca. As usual some great one-liners.
This time something struck me: Fraser reminded me very much of Kryten from Red Dwarf.
