My Thoughts:

Took me a while to get around to watching this as I wasn't really looking forward to it. I just have... had this feeling that the whole Shrek thing has been rather overdone and it will continue to fade and pale in comparison with every sequel. Doh! Wrong again!  ???

I won't say this is the best in the series but I gotta admit, it's still entertaining even after round 3! I love the frogs singing Live And Let Die, the diva princesses (Snow White, Cinderella & Sleeping Beauty) turned bad-ass Charlie's Angels and a gaggle of one liners from much of the supporting cast kept a smile on my face throughout.

Eddie Murphy is still on his game as Donkey although I notice his screen time is starting to diminish, like he is rotating out as one of the central characters. Pinocchio, Gingerbread Man and The Three Pigs are still a riot.

The one I dislike the most is Puss'n Boots, aka Antonio Banderas. Never found him funny and I don't think he has the voice to pull off voice over comedy.

Great music throughout too. The rebel charge set to Heart's Barracuda was stellar!

Blood Relations, a review by addicted2dvd

Blood Relations

My Thoughts:
I got this DVD a long time ago... it was shrink wrapped together with another movie (Expecting Mercy) and in the Walmart $5.00 Bargain Bin. So basically only paid $2.50 for this movie. Naturally I went into this movie with no expectations what so ever... as I never even heard of it before. I have to say... it wasn't a bad movie... wasn't great... but I did enjoy it. I do think it tried a little too hard to put twists into the movie... some worked.. others only confused things. The movie was made in 1988... and is Full Framed... so I imagine it was one of those direct to video releases. Even though I can't complain what with how little I paid... I was a little disappointed by the fact that there was no extras what so ever... not even a single trailer of any kind. When you pop in the disc you get a menu with 2 options on it... Play Movie and Scene Selection. Now I don't know that I would go as far as recommend buying this one... but if you can find it real cheap (like a deal I got)... it is worth it. If not I would recommend renting it first.

Plot:
Welcome to India: a diverse country of exotic cuisine, fascinating cultures, unique social customs...and the home of the Mid America Novelties call center. Unsuspecting management trainee Todd Dempsy is shocked when his job and department are relocated to the chaotic city of Mumbai. With no other career options, the Kansas native makes the jump himself and discovers that his most important work might just be teaching his eclectic group of Indian customer service reps what being American is all about. Developed by writer Robert Borden (The Drew Carey Show) and director Ken Kwapis (The Office), it's 22 episodes of fun and hilarity where laughter is never lost in translation.

I bought this series after watching and enjoying the movie on which this series is based on. The first episode is very promising. I enjoyed it much more than Mumbai Calling, a British series with the same premise. I am even considering to put this marathon on hold and continue watching this series now.
