Le salaire de la peur , a review by AchimStars: Yves Montand as Mario Charles Vanel as M. Jo Peter van Eyck as Bimba Folco Lulli as Luigi Plot: IN A SQUALID SOUTH AMERICAN OIL TOWN, four desperate men sign on for a suicide mission to drive trucks loaded with nitroglycerin over a treacherous mountain route. As they ferry their explosive cargo to a faraway oil fire, each bump and jolt tests their courage, their friendship, and their nerves. The result is one of the greatest thrillers ever committed to celluloid, a white-knuckle ride from France's legendary master of suspense, Henri-Georges Clouzot. Extras:
My Thoughts: The highly intense main section of the film is really great. The actors do great work to portray their respective roles. Despite the lack of music strong tension is achieved repeatedly and the simple threat of the nitro exploding from even a small vibration kept me on the edge of the seat for most of the time.I really wanted to like this film more than I did. However, the two main character were rather unlikable to me which really put a bump in the road for me (pardon the pun). The second pair of characters (Luigi and Bimba) is what kept me engaged. On top of this I found the opening part of the film, which already made sure that I don't like the two main characters all that much, much too long (1 hour) and should have been trimmed by at least 30min (maybe I am just missing the point). And finally at the end... (click to show/hide) (From Achim's entirely random reviews on July 7th, 2011) American Wedding, a review by addicted2dvd

My Thoughts: I felt like something fun and completely silly next... yes even to the point of the crude and the sick. And much like the first two... this has all of the above. There was more then one laugh in this movie for me... but at the same time some things went a little far for my taste. But of course that could be because I watched the Unrated version instead of the theatrical release... which is also on this disc. Over-all I enjoyed this movie. But I know it is definitely not for everyone. It is one I am sure some would find offensive. My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Alphabet Marathon: The Unwatched Version on August 14th, 2011) Tom's Buffy and Angel Marathon, a review by Tom20. The Prom (1999-05-11) Writer: Joss Whedon (Created By), Marti Noxon (Writer) Director: David Solomon Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy Summers), Nicholas Brendon (Xander Harris), Alyson Hannigan (Willow Rosenberg), Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase), David Boreanaz (Angel), Seth Green (Oz), Anthony Stewart Head (Giles), Kristine Sutherland (Joyce Summers), Alexis Denisof (Wesley Wyndam-Pryce), Brad Kane (Tucker Wells), Emma Caulfield (Anya/Anyanka), Danny Strong (Jonathan), Bonita Friedericy (Mrs. Finkle), Andrea E. Taylor (Sales Girl), Mike Kimmel (Harv), Tove Kingsbury (Tux Boy), Michael Zlabinger (Student at Mic), Monica Serene Garnich (Pretty Girl), Joe Howard (Priest), Damien Eckhardt (Jack Mayhew), Stephanie Denise Griffin (Tux Girl) I liked how Buffy gets the "Class Protector" award at the end. This episodes makes way for the Angel series with Angel's decision to leave Sunnydale. In my opinion a good move. I got tired of the whole Buffy/Angel drama.
