MOVIE / DVD INFO:

Title: The Incredibly Strange Creatures Who Stopped Living and Became Mixed-Up Zombies!!? (1964)

Genre: Horror
Director: Ray Dennis Steckler (The Thrill Killers)
Rating: Unrated
Length: 1h20
Video: Widescreen
Audio: English
Subtitles: No Subtitles

Stars:
Ray Dennis Steckler (The Thrill Killers)
Carolyn Brandt (The Thrill Killers)
Brett O'Hara (Wild Ones on Wheels)
Atlas King (The Thrill Killers)
Sharon Walsh

Plot:
A series of disappearances turns out to be linked to a maddened amusement arcade fortuneteller Madame Estrella who throws acid in the faces of the men who refuse her and then keeps them as disfigured monsters locked in the back room of her carnival booth. When teen lay-a-bout Jerry comes to have his fortune told he is placed in a hypnotic trance by the spinning disk and turned into a murderous zombie to serve the gypsy and her hunchbacked servant.

My Thoughts:
Because of the JBB track

Synopsis: Linus is a great Star Wars fan, but he is also dying of cancer and he won't make it to the premiere of Star Wars: Episode I in 1998. So his best friends (and also Star Wars geeks) decide to break into the Skywalker Ranch to watch a raw edit of the movie. On their road trip to San Francisco they meet other fans, Trekkies and even William Shatner...

My Opinion: This is a geek fest par excellence, no doubt about it. Every other sentence contains a reference to the trilogy, either as direct quote or in the spirit. When you know the movies by heart it's very easy to predict what they are going to say, but that just means that you are as geeky as they are. ;)
But the movie has also a lot of sentimental scenes that are similar to those in Be Kind Rewind and they are very well placed to interrupt the geek fest without destroying its spirit.
But the most astounding thing about this movie and watching the guys on their journey is that you forget how bad Episode I really was.

My PILOT Marathon, a review by Rich

Secret Diary Of A Call Girl - Series 1

Episode 1
Meet Belle, a high-priced high-class prostitute who explains her life and her adventures. She meets with her clients and runs into some problems when she breaks her own rules.

Hannah is more than she appears to be in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Hannah is also Belle, one of the top high class call girls in the city of London. Hannah and Belle have the same common goal; to make as much money as possible while they still can

I was very surprised on how much i enjoyed this, as I had expected it to be just a softcore flimsy series. However it has substantially more substance and interest, a very interesting character lead, and a slick professional production and directive style.
Piper is incredibly sexy, sensual and watchable, and the mixture of various small characters and their 'quirks' works well.
Fascinating little series and certainly recommended at the budget price now available.
