My Thoughts:
I probably should have read the overview before watching this, since I would have seen that this is a sequel to Nightwatch, which I've never watched, even though I do own it.
At any rate, I found this one a little hard to follow, probably due to concentrating on subtitles most of the time and I'm not sure the translation was the best, or either, they use phrases that have no equal in English.  Some hot looking babes and lots of "action" are about the only things really going for this film.

Fandango, a review by KinkyCyborg

Title:Fandango
Year: 1985
Director: Kevin Reynolds
Rating: PG
Length: 91 Min.
Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.85:1
Audio: English: Dolby Digital: 5.1, French: Dolby Digital: Mono
Subtitles: English, French, Spanish

Stars:
Kevin Costner
Judd Nelson (1959)
Sam Robards
Chuck Bush
Brian Cesak

Plot:
College is over, real life can start. Well, not yet. The Groovers, five college roommates in Texas, class of '71, find breaking up is hard to do. So Gardner, the group's official "Groover and Shaker", decides that he and his buddies should chuck their worries about an imminent wedding, the Vietnam draft and crashing the working world to take off in Phil's Caddy for a final footloose tear across the Lone Star State.

Join their far-flung post-graduation fandango. A top cast, including rising stars Kevin Costner as party guy Gardner and Judd Nelson as straight-arrow Phil, and the clever script and direction of first-timer Kevin Reynolds ('Robin Hood Prince of Thieves') make it a rip-roaring ride in the tradition of 'American Graffiti' and 'Breaking Away'.

Extras:
Scene Access
Feature Trailers
Closed Captioned

My Thoughts:

Animal House meets Road Trip meets Day Zero.

This movie is pretty good with more than a few laugh out loud moments. Chaining the car to the train and the parachute full of dirty laundry were priceless. Kevin Costner had very few good comedic turns but this was one of them.

Judd Nelson had a stretch of some really great movies, including this one, the brat packs flicks, From The Hip, Relentless and New Jack City. Now if he's in anything at all it's some cheesy straight-to-video movie.  ???  I fully expect to see him on either The Surreal Life or Dancing With The Stars any day now which will officially mark the end.   :-\

Pete's Pilots, a review by addicted2dvd

Angel
Angel (David Boreanaz), the dashing demon from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," embarks on his own supernatural adventures in Los Angeles. City of Angels. City of Broken Dreams. Between pervasive evil and countless temptations lurking beneath the city's glittery facade, L.A. is the ideal address for a fallen vampire looking to save a few lost souls and, in turn, perhaps redeem his own.

City Of
Newly arrived in Los Angeles, Angel is befriended by a half-demon named Doyle who visions lead him to a powerful vampire whose next victim just may be Cordelia Chase.

My Thoughts:
I remembered when I first heard Angel got his own spinoff... I was concerned it wouldn't be any good. But I was pleasantly surprised. I actually enjoyed it a lot. I also liked that they brought Cordelia over. At this point she is still pretty prissy... but they do change that as this show goes on. Her character definitely grows up quite a bit during this show. The pilot episode is a lot of fun. I really liked towards the end when Angel comes to the mansion to save Cordelia... and when he shows up Cordelia comes out with... "You don't know who he is".... "Oh Boy... You are going to get your ass kicked!" LOL. Some reason I love that line every time I see it.
