A sadistic serial killer holds Los Angeles in the grip of unspeakable fear in this hard-hitting action-thriller.

The only clues are pages torn from a telephone book and victims who appear to have somehow participated in their own deaths. But when a brash rookie detective (Leo Rossi) pairs up with a cynical veteran (Robert Loggia) to track down the killer, the cat-and-mouse game ends in a deadly fight to the finish.

My Thoughts:

There are three notable Judd Nelson movies from his career that should be watched. Forget the Brat Pack movies... watch New Jack City, From The Hip, and this movie, Relentless.

Here he plays young Buck Taylor, abused as a child by his domineering cop father who, now grown up, recently has his enrollment to the police academy rejected based on his failed psych evaluation. Already in a frail mental state, his perceived failure causes him to crack and go on a random killing spree in which he makes his victims participate in their own murders.

First time I watched this years ago I said WOW! Serial killer movies are nothing new but I liked the unique twist of Nelson's character forcing his helpless victims to actual hold the instruments of their death all the while cooing softly "C'mon... you can do it. See... it's easy!" Wicked! Nelson nailed the calm, simple demeanor of a man who knows exactly what he is doing which utter confidence as he taunts the police.

Leo Rossi and Robert Loggia are the detectives trying to nail him while trying not to kill each other as they bicker on how to go about it. Meg Foster is in this as Rossi's wife and she has the absolute creepiest eyes I have ever seen.  :-\ Combined they make a strong supporting cast.

There were three sequels to this, all starring Leo Rossi and they were all rubbish compared to the original. If you have never seen Relentless I highly recommend it!

Synopsis: Lightning McQueen is a race car and THE newcomer of the current racing season. But he's also arrogant and egocentric and these treats nearly cost him the Piston Cup championship. But he hasn't won either. His two closest opponents (Chick Hicks and the current champion The King) and he got over the finish line at the same time. The next race will decide who gets the Piston Cup. But McQueen gets lost on his way to California and ends up in a small backwater town called Radiator Springs along the old Route 66. And since he got in trouble with the law he has to repair their old main street before he's allowed to leave. But when he's allowed to leave - does he still want it?

My Opinion: As all Pixar movies, this is a great flick. The characters are all excellently drawn (both literally as well as metaphorically) and the story is very charming. I really love the diversity of the supporting characters like the Sarge or Luigi and the references to "our" world such as Sally's tramp stamp on her rear. I also found it quite fascinating that some of the nature shots almost looked real, for example when Lightning and Sally were racing through the forest and the puddles.

Charmed Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

Disc 4:

13. Charmageddon
The conflict-free Utopian world can only be protected if the Avatars control who lives and dies. Leo gives up his life when he is unable to persuade The Charmed Ones that the Avatars kill innocent people.

My Thoughts:
A good episode... this is part 2 of the episodes that puts an end to the Avatar storyline. If I remember right... there is no more episodes dealing with the Avatars through-out the rest of the series. Which I am cool with... as I never cared for this storyline anyway.

14. Carpe Demon
An ex-demon professor candidate for Magic School causes a media frenzy when he falls under a spell that makes him believe that he is Robin Hood and that Phoebe is Maid Marian.

My Thoughts:
Even though you wouldn't know it by the description... this is actually a Valentine's Day episode. I like this character of Drake... his whole character does nothing but lightens up the show... he is a really fun character type. Shame he didn't last longer then he did on the series... of course I could see that he would get old pretty quick... but one or two more episodes with him would have been fun.

15. Show Ghouls
While trying to help the Lost Souls of hundreds of victims who died in a catastrophic fire at a cabaret, Phoebe and Drake (Billy Zane) transport themselves back to the night of the fire and are stuck in the year 1899.

My Thoughts:
Even though it is a decent episode... it is not one of my favorites. no real reason for it... just didn't strike me as very good.

16. The Seven Year Witch
Piper ends up in a coma after a vicious demon attack and her spirit is stuck in the cosmic void between life and death. Moreover, she is surprised to find Cole (Julian McMahon) waiting for her.

My Thoughts:
OK... even in this episode I still hate the Cole character. But this is a really good episode.I like how they handled the whole Leo's punishment thing. It made for a really good story.
