Fanaa, a review by Tom
Stars: Aamir Khan as Rehan Qadri Kajol as Zoomi Ali Beg Rishi Kapoor as Zulfikar Ali Beg Tabu as Malini Tyagi Kirron Kher as Nafisa Ali Beg Plot: Choices- to choose between right or wrong is simple, but what defines one's life is the decision between the greater of two goods or the lesser of two evils. This is the advice that Zooni Ali Beg (Kajol) receives from her father just as she is about to venture out into the world on her own for the very first time. Little does she know that these very words will shape her life. Zooni, a blind Kashmiri girl meets Rehan Qadri (Aamir Khan), a local tour guide and an incorrigible flirt who goes from city to city exploring their architecture as also the women. Her friends warn her against this good-for-nothing roadside-romeo, but she chooses to ignore them. She is not one to be protected. It is now her time to discover life, and love. Is this really the right choice? Rehan is fascinated by Zooni. He truly wants her to see life as it should be seen, in its many colours, and as he promises her, the time spent with him will be the most precious in all her life. Zooni sees Delhi, life and love like she never has before, because of Rehan. What Zooni doesn't know is that Rehan has another side of his life that he has kept from her, something that can not only change her life but can also destroy it... Awards: Won:

My Thoughts: This movie is Kajol's comeback movie after her baby break. I really enjoyed the first half of the movie, where Aamir Khan's character (Rehan) meets the blind Zoomi (Kajol) and they slowly fall in love. (click to show/hide) Rating: (From Tom's Random Reviews on September 1st, 2009) Reclaim Your Brain, a review by DJ DoenaSeptember, 3rd Synopsis: The TV producer Rainer is very successful in creating shows like "Get Your Own Superbaby" and other brainless activities. But when he has a car crash he also has a revelation. Humankind can't be that stupid, the viewing rates can't be real, it's impossible that people actually watch all that BS. He teams up with others. At first they want to prove that the rates are manipulated only to learn that they are real. Then they decide to hack the system and make their own rates to crush the crap and help better programmes along. My Opinion: The entire movie is very anvilicious (From DJ Doena's movie watchings 2009 on September 3rd, 2009) NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdNCIS: Season 4: Disc 5 17. SKELETONS An explosion at military cemetery mausoleum reveals several dismembered human remains. The team looks for potential serial killers, but Gibbs is surprised wth the final outcome. My Thoughts: This is a good episode... though somewhat standard. Little bit more then a filler episode. My Rating: 18. ICEMAN A man supposedly frozen to death is about to be autopsied by Ducky, when he suddenly sits up - alive! As the NCIS team tries to figure out who left the man for dead, they discover there's a link to Gibbs' past. My Thoughts: This is a good episode. We get a visit from Mike Franks again in this one. I enjoy the story... went by quickly. My Rating: 19. GRACE PERIOD An anonymous call to the NCIS tip line about possible terrorist activity sends two agents into a trap and certain death. My Thoughts: A very good episode. One where we say goodbye to a recurring cast member. I really liked all about this one. I would definitely have to rate it as one of my favorites. My Rating: 20. COVER STORY With little information to go on, McGee is under serious pressure during the murder investigation of a Petty Officer. My Thoughts: Another excellent episode. I really enjoyed how they made this episode about Tim's new book. It made for a fun and entertaining episode. My Rating: (From NCIS Marathon on December 26th, 2009) |
