The Bone Collector, a review by Dragonfire

The Bone Collector

He takes his victims' lives and leaves behind mysterious pieces of a bizarre puzzle. And the only person who may be able to make sense of the serial killer's deranged plan is Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington), a onetime top homicide investigator. But after a tragic accident changes his life forever, Rhyme can only watch as other cops bungle the case...until he teams up with a young rookie, Amelia Donaghy (Angelina JolieMy Thoughts

I first saw this one back in 1999 when it was in the theater.  I think it works as a decent thriller for the most part, though the revelation of the identity of the killer just sort of comes out of nowhere.  That could have, and should have, been handled much better.  I read the book version a few years ago and from what I remember, it was handled better in the book.  The mystery - other than the way the resolution is handled - works well and makes for an interesting movie.  Some parts are gory and graphic and will more than likely bother some viewers.

I did get a review posted on Epinions if anyone wants to take a look.

Plot:
Got it - and more. Over four specially added minutes put the boys back in action as never before in this director's cut version of LETHAL WEAPON 2. Riggs wows the pretties at a hotel spa before getting to Getz. Murtaugh receives bad bodywork news from an auto repairman after his beleaguered station wagon sees some Riggs-piloted street action. Plus, feisty Leo shares a newly included scene in which he recalls a suspect's address by complex spins of numbers that, well, no one can tell it like Leo. And no one would follow his lead but Riggs and Murtaugh. It's police procedure, LETHAL style. And it's yours to enjoy as the duo draws a bead on criminals hiding behind diplomatic immunity.

Extras:
Closed Captioned
Featurettes
Production Notes
Scene Access
Trailers

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 5

17. SKELETONS
An explosion at military cemetery mausoleum reveals several dismembered human remains. The team looks for potential serial killers, but Gibbs is surprised wth the final outcome.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... though somewhat standard. Little bit more then a filler episode.

My Rating:

18. ICEMAN
A man supposedly frozen to death is about to be autopsied by Ducky, when he suddenly sits up - alive! As the NCIS team tries to figure out who left the man for dead, they discover there's a link to Gibbs' past.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. We get a visit from Mike Franks again in this one. I enjoy the story... went by quickly.

My Rating:

19. GRACE PERIOD
An anonymous call to the NCIS tip line about possible terrorist activity sends two agents into a trap and certain death.

My Thoughts:
A very good episode. One where we say goodbye to a recurring cast member. I really liked all about this one. I would definitely have to rate it as one of my favorites.

My Rating:

20. COVER STORY
With little information to go on, McGee is under serious pressure during the murder investigation of a Petty Officer.

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. I really enjoyed how they made this episode about Tim's new book. It made for a fun and entertaining episode.
