Synopsis: Josie Geller was one of the nerds in highschool, the kind of girl who asked for extra homework. It was not a pleasent time for her. But now she's an editor at the Chicago Sun-Times and good at her job. But she wants to be a reporter, to write stories instead of reading them. And for this she has to go undercover to highschool again. But neither she nor highschool has changed.

My Opinion: A sweet liitle comedy about a young woman who gets the chance of having a better highschool memory and to finally fall in love with the right guy. Not the best romance I've ever seen but still quite enjoyable.

My Thoughts:
A powerful and moving look at a man who discovers he has stomach cancer and suddenly realizes that the past 30 years of his life have had no meaning; that he has simply existed from day-to-day without actually enjoying life or doing anything meaningful to or for anyone.  He spends the last 5 months of his life bucking city hall (literally), in order to accomplish one small selfless act so that he can pass on with some measure of peace.  Much of what we learn of this man is through the eyes of others as he moves through the various stages of dealing with the imminence of his own demise.    Definitely, a movie that was ahead of its time.

My PILOT Marathon, a review by Rich

Being Human - Series One

Episode 1
The 3 housemates are discovering the difficulties of living in the human world, with vampire Mitchell struggling to repress his desire for blood, ghost Annie being confronted by another ghost from her past, and werewolf George looking for a place he can undergo his transformation in safety.

Despite this not being the original set of actors as the 'real pilot' it was clearly shown much later as the writers took great care in introducing the main characters, and how they became to be as they are. It is slickly written and produced, with a nice blend of drama, comedy and light horror. My favourite character is of course George, and keen to see how his storyline progresses. Altogether very impressed with this 'pilot' episode and the potential shown.
I will view the balance of this series very soon.
