Eternal , a review by addicted2dvd
Stars:Plot: When the beautiful wife of a Montreal vice cop disappears, his investigation leads him to an alluring temptress who admits only to having steamy sex with the missing woman. Unconvinced, the detective plunges into her dark, erotic world, uncovering a terrifying connection to a 16th-century countess said to have seduced and murdered young women to bathe in their blood in order to remain immortal. Now, the detective finds himself in a deadly race against time to prevent this modern vampiress from claiming another victim in this supernatural thriller inspired by actual events. Extras:
My Thoughts: I decided to check this one out today because I felt like watching a horror movie I haven't seen yet. And the plot of this one sounded interesting at least. And it saying that this story was "Inspired by Actual Events" didn't hurt. I went in knowing it could go either way. While I enjoyed this one... it's slow pace did lessen the enjoyment some. Though it still has a good story. I would really like to see another (preferably a little better) movie inspired by Countess Elizabeth Bathory. I have heard of her story before... but this is the first movie I have seen dealing with her.My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From Alphabet Marathon: The Unwatched Version on August 21st, 2011) The Amazing Spider-Man 2, a review by addicted2dvd
Stars: Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man/Peter Parker Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy Jamie Foxx as Electro/Max Dillon Dane DeHaan as Green Goblin/Harry Osborn Colm Feore as Donald Menken Felicity Jones as Felicia Plot:Extras:
My Thoughts: I was so excited to see this movie. While I wasn't disappointed... as it is a good movie... it wasn't as good as the first one. Going by the trailer I was a little concerned on how they portrayed Electro. But after seeing the movie I found they did him pretty cool. Not thrilled with the storyline with Gwen Stacy though I do understand how they got there... so I can forgive that. But what I can't forgive is how they portrayed Rhino. I just did not like how they did him at all. But over-all a very good movie... this one is definitely worth every moment put in to watch it. My Rating: (From What Movies I Been Watching on August 22nd, 2014) [Rerun Marathon] Spaced, a review by Tom8/10 Another great episode. I found it as good as the first episode but not better (therefore "only" an eight) (From [Rerun Marathon] Spaced on October 25th, 2007) |
