Chariots of Fire, a review by AntaresChariots of Fire (1981) 3.5/5 - I love British films and this one, while not riveting, kept my attention throughout. The performances are all top notch and while there is very little to the story, it is done with the right tempo to make it compelling. To me, the mark of a good biopic, is whether or not it sends me to my computer after I finish watching it, to research the people involved. And this film piqued my curiosity enough to do that. Finally, I remember that a big deal was made about the soundtrack back when this was released, but as with all synthetic scores, it now sounds horribly dated. Synthesizer scores were a great gimmick back in the day, but I have yet to hear one that has stood the test of time. My Thoughts: Last year I watched this movie on On-Demand and mentioned how I would like to add it to my collection. Not long later a friend of mine sent me the box set containing parts 2-5. While it may not be quite as good as the first Child's Play... I still like this one quite a bit. Like how it takes place shortly after part one. And I like the main storyline. I also thought the teen girl was a good addition to this one. It's a good, entertaining way to waste an hour and a half!My Rating: Out of a Possible 5 (From What Movies I Been Watching on January 25th, 2012) [Rerun Marathon] Spaced, a review by Tom9/10 Brian's mother thinking he is a lawyer was fun.
