The Touch, a review by RichQuick jump into Brunei Darussalam... In modern Qingdao, Yin (Michelle Yeoh) and her brother Tong are the last heirs in a long lineage of acrobats protecting a Sharira relic. Being circus performers, they travel throughout the world, entrancing audiences with their stunningly beautiful gymnastic performance. One day, Eric, a man from Yin's past, shows up with a Medallion - the Heart of Dunhuang - a key to unlock the secrets, a clue to unveil the legend of the Sharira. Together they embark on a hazardous journey to rediscover what her ancestors once protected. Following closely on their trail is Karl, a merciless, unscrupulous rich man who will stop at nothing to get his hands on the valuable treasures Yeoh remains as gorgeous as ever, but I thought this feature written and produced by her was a step too far. Wannabe Hollywood, falling slightly short in all counts, this never became anything more than a glorified commercial exercise. For what is basically a Hong Kong movie, it was below my expectations. 4/10 (From Around the World in 80 DVD's on February 26th, 2008) D.E.B.S., a review by TomTitle: D.E.B.S. Extras: Closed Captioned Commentary Deleted Scenes Featurettes Music Videos Photo Gallery Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: This has always been a guilty pleasure of mine. I never get tired watching this movie. When I first heard about it, I know that it is a lesbian love story. I was vary at first when I saw the cover, but this is actually a really fun love story set in a spy-spoof background. This movie never takes itself seriously and I think it some great one-liners. The growing relationship between the two girls is fun to watch. Jordana Brewster is simply beautiful as Lucy Diamond. Also Jill Ritchie as Janet is great. She has all the best lines. Rating: (From Lesbian Movie Marathon on August 9th, 2009) Angel Marathon, a review by addicted2dvdAngel: Season 2 5. Dear Boy Original Air Date: 10/24/2000 Angel's continued restless nights takes him all the way back to 1860 London and his first encounter with Drusilla , but when he sees Darla in his waking life, Cordelia, Wesley and Gunn fear he has gone off the deep end and may revert to his evil ways. Guest Stars: Elisabeth Rohm Christian Kane Juliet Landau Julie Benz My Thoughts: Another excellent episode. It was fun seeing Angelus (through flashbacks) with Darla and Drusilla. This is a huge Darla episode... which was cool since I have become a fan of Julie Benz between this show and Dexter. My Rating: (From Angel Marathon on March 2nd, 2010) |
