Kill Bill: Vol. 2, a review by DJ Doena

Kill Bill: Vol. 2

Uma Thurman    ...    Beatrix Kiddo - The Bride, 'Black Mamba'
David Carradine   ...    Bill - 'Snake Charmer'
Chia Hui Liu   ...    Pai Mei
Michael Madsen   ...    Budd - 'Sidewinder'
Daryl Hannah   ...    Elle Driver
Michael Parks   ...    Esteban Vihaio

3 finished, 3 to go. The next in line is Budd, the little brother of Bill's. After that Elle Driver and finally Bill himself. But suddenly there is a new element in the game.

My opinion:
I like this one as much as the first one but he is defintively different than the other. But I'll admit than I have never watched them with a monthlong gap, i've always watched the second one as a double-feature with the first one.

The only thing I had wished for would have been a real end-fight between Beatrix and Bill.

My Thoughts:
I have never seen any of these movies before. But I was always curious about it because of all the backlash it gets.

I liked the beginning of the movie, when Bella first arrives in the town and meeting the other characters. But the movie falls apart when the romance with Edward begins. The dialog there is horrible and the flow of the romance seems more like a badly written fanfiction.
I heard so much complaining of how the vampires are portrayed here (especially the glitter), that it didn't bother me as much as I thought it would.

Overall the movie is not as bad as I thought it would be.

This review was the final push for me to finally check out this movie.

Smallville: The Complete Third Season, a review by addicted2dvd

Smallville: The Complete Third Season (2003/United States)

Everyone has a future. Clark Kent has a destiny - if he's willing to accept and able to master all the awesome powers and responsibilities that come with it.

The fascinating reinterpretation of Superman mythology and its classic characters continues in an event-packed 22-episode Season 3 that includes Clark's embracing of his dark side... and the devil's bargain Jonathan makes with Jor-El to rescue his son. Other highlights: Perry White and villainous Morgan Edge debut in the series. Clark hones a sensational new power. Chloe lets slip an intriguing reference to someone named Lois Lane. And the secret of Clark's true indentity burdens Pete, obsesses Lex and drives a wedge between Lana and Clark. The challenges of today shape tomorrow as never before in Smallville.

My Thoughts:
Just finished season 3. Still very much enjoying watching this series again. We did indeed see Clark get his super hearing this season. We also got another episode with Christopher Reeve. I am now about to pop in the first disc of Season 4! I can't believe I am already up to the season that introduces Lois Lane.

My Rating:
Out of a Possible 5
