Role Models, a review by samuelrichardscott

Role Models (2008) United Kingdom Blu-ray (at friends house)

Overview:
Danny and Wheeler, well into their 30s, lack something: Danny feels stuck; he's sour and has driven away his terrific girlfriend. Wheeler chases any skirt he sees for empty sex. When they get in a fight with a tow-truck driver, they choose community service over jail and are assigned to be big brothers - Danny to Augie, a geek who loves participating in a weekend Medieval reenactment society, and Wheeler to Ronnie, a pint-size foul-mouthed kid. After a rocky start, things start to go well until both Danny and Wheeler make big mistakes. Can the two men figure out how to change enough to be role models to the boys?

My Thoughts:
I had seen this before so already knew I found it funny so on this viewing it was all about whether it held up or not. From the off, I loved the casting of this... Paul Rudd, Seann William Scott, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Elizabeth Banks and Jane Lynch but it wasn't until I watched it that I discovered Bobbe J. Thompson, a young actor who delivers hilarious lines one after the other. The story is a competant one with a quick start whilst still developing Rudd and Scott's characters nicely throwing you straight in and then the whole ending had me in stitches, even on this repeat viewing. One of my favourite comedies of 2008. 4/5

The Invisible Man (1933), a review by addicted2dvd

The Invisible Man (1933)

My Thoughts:
I only watched this movie one time before. when I first bought the other classic monster movie set... which has been several years ago. So watching this one today was like watching it again for the first time. Now this one I did enjoy quite a bit. I enjoyed the stories and liked the old time special effects. Though I do admit that once or twice I did notice a very slight outline of the Invisible Man's head. The quality of this one wasn't quite as good as it was on The Mummy video was... but the audio was great. Unfortunately the video on this one had quite a bit of dust as well as a few scratches. Of course with a movie this old that is easily forgiven. But I was very disappointed to realize there was no Theatrical Trailer for it to watch before the movie.

NCIS Marathon, a review by addicted2dvd

NCIS: Season 4: Disc 5

17. SKELETONS
An explosion at military cemetery mausoleum reveals several dismembered human remains. The team looks for potential serial killers, but Gibbs is surprised wth the final outcome.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode... though somewhat standard. Little bit more then a filler episode.

My Rating:

18. ICEMAN
A man supposedly frozen to death is about to be autopsied by Ducky, when he suddenly sits up - alive! As the NCIS team tries to figure out who left the man for dead, they discover there's a link to Gibbs' past.

My Thoughts:
This is a good episode. We get a visit from Mike Franks again in this one. I enjoy the story... went by quickly.

My Rating:

19. GRACE PERIOD
An anonymous call to the NCIS tip line about possible terrorist activity sends two agents into a trap and certain death.

My Thoughts:
A very good episode. One where we say goodbye to a recurring cast member. I really liked all about this one. I would definitely have to rate it as one of my favorites.

My Rating:

20. COVER STORY
With little information to go on, McGee is under serious pressure during the murder investigation of a Petty Officer.

My Thoughts:
Another excellent episode. I really enjoyed how they made this episode about Tim's new book. It made for a fun and entertaining episode.

My Rating:
