A Very Brady Christmas, a review by addicted2dvd

A Very Brady Christmas
Mike and Carol Brady decide to spend their savings on bringing their kids and relatives in for the holidays, but the kids are having their own problems: Greg (now a doctor) has to make the trip alone since his wife Nora is spending the holidays with her family; Peter is embarrassed to bring his girlfriend home since she is his boss; Bobby is hiding the fact that he dropped out of business grad school to race cars; Marcia's husband, Wally, has been laid off from his job at Tyler Toys; Jan and stuffy husband Phillip are separating; and Cindy is tired of the fact that mom and dad can't respect her as a grown woman. Just another day in the life of the Bradys.

My Thoughts:
I wasn't sure I was quite ready for this reunion movie... especially with it being so far out of season. But when Brittany found out I was doing reunion movies for this weekend's marathon... she really wanted to watch the Brady Bunch ones with me. So we decide to go ahead and do it. As I have said while watching the complete series set... I personally always enjoyed the reunion movies more then the series itself. I can say I have a new appreciation for the series... as I enjoyed it more then I thought I would when I watched it again... but think I still prefer the reunion movies. Some reason I really enjoy seeing the Brady kids all grown up. But I do believe this is the last time I will watch this particular reunion movie till the Holiday season comes!

Domestic Disturbance, a review by Eric

Paycheck:  It's definitely not the movie of the century.....or the decade.....not even the year it came out but it's a good movie anyway.  As I expected the surround sound was interesting, I'm usually not a big fan of 5.1 but in certain movies I like it.  Ben Half Luck is equal to himself in this movie (read "not very good") and Uma Thurman is, as usual, not very pretty but sexy and kind of charming.  I personally never like Eckhart, I think he has the face of a clerk, not an actor, no matter what he plays I always only see him, never his character.

That said, if you want to sit in a vegetative state and watch a movie for two hours "Paycheck" is a good candidate.

Domestic Disturbance:  That's a good thriller with some good actors,  Travolta is good in that kind of movies.  I didn't remember the title but when the movied began I remembered I had seen it before however I didn't mind watching it again although I remembered the whole thing.  There is one of those movies where you can only sit and wait to see when what you already guessed will happen actually happens.  It's a good movie if you've never seen it but it's definitely not a "repeater".

"Due South" marathon, a review by Tom

15. The Wild Bunch (1995-02-16)
Writer: Paul Haggis (Created By), Kathy Slevin (Writer), Jeff King (Writer)
Director: Richard J. Lewis
Cast: Paul Gross (Constable Benton Fraser), David Marciano (Detective Ray Vecchio), Beau Starr (Lt. Harding Welsh), Daniel Kash (Detective Louis Gardino), Tony Craig (Detective Jack Huey), Catherine Bruhier (Elaine), Christopher Babers (Willie), Michael Rhoades (Arnold Benedict), Susan Hamann (Jackie Alexander), Judah Katz (Judge Sherman), Jack Nicholsen (Caulfield), Bill MacDonald (Devereaux), Al Kozlik (Cuthbert), Mack Slevin (Mack)

A good episode focusing on Dief. I like it that they bring up the possibility that Dief being a wild animal could really be dangerous.

Rating:
