My Thoughts:
A little slow getting started, but the action picks up after awhile.  Photography is quite stunning at times, but the acting left a bit to be desired.  Again it may have more to do with concentrating on subtitles.
An interesting story with some nice CG monsters and several little unexpected twists to the story throughout.
Worth a look.
