American Wedding, a review by DragonfireYou're on the guest list - for this UNRATED AMERICAN WEDDING, the version you couldn't see in theaters! The AMERICAN PIE gang returns to wreak havoc with a new rite of passage when Jim (Jason Biggs) and Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) decide to get married! Of course, Stifler (Seann William Scott) will be there (bridesmaids!) and, more importantly, will throw the ultimate bachelor party (strippers!). So RSVP for the outrageously UNRATED AMERICAN WEDDING experience, in this hilariously hot, frantically funny final chapter of the unforgettable AMERICAN PIE saga! My Thoughts I did enjoy this one overall, though some things - like Stiffler acting like a complete idiot all the time - are getting old. Michell and Jim get engaged, and they don't intend to tell Stiffler because they are worried he'll ruin things. Unfortunately, Stiffler found out anyway and forced his way into what was going on. He even managed to make Michelle's parents think he was a wonderful guy while Jim struggles to make a better impression. Kevin and Finch help with the planning while Finch is busy chasing after Michelle's younger sister along with Stiffler. The plot for this one isn't any more complicated than the plots for the first two movies. Jim and Michelle get engaged within the first few minutes and the rest of the movie is focused on the wedding plans, some of which go horribly wrong. The movie is entertaining overall and I did enjoy seeing more of Jim and Michelle. The gross stuff went a bit too far, especially with one thing that Stiffler ends up doing. That was just disgusting and it added nothing to the movie. Some of the humor doesn't work as well in this one, but there are several funny moments. There are a few surprises, though the movie is mostly predictable. There are several sexual situations again, including more mishaps for Jim. There does seem to be more nudity in this movie, at least during the wild bachelor party that Stiffler throws. The sexual things in the movie could end up offending some viewers. Jim and Michelle and still likable and Jim's dad is back again as well. He continues to deal with some embarrassing situations well. Kevin doesn't have as much to do, which makes me happy with how annoying I was finding him in the first movies. Vicky, Heather, Oz, and Nadia aren't back, and I really didn't miss them. Stiffler is the same sex obsessed jerk he's been, and he does get a bit annoying. Overall, the movie is entertaining, though certain things aren't working as well. I did get a review posted on Epinions. American Wedding (From Dragonfire: What I've Been Watching on July 24th, 2009) Grand Tour: Disaster in Time, a review by TomTitle: Grand Tour: Disaster in Time Year: 1992 Director: David Twohy Rating: FSK-16 Length: 90 Min. Video: Full Frame 1.33:1 Audio: German: Dolby Digital 2-Channel Stereo, English: Dolby Digital 2-Channel Stereo Subtitles: Stars: Jeff Daniels Ariana Richards Emilia Crow Jim Haynie Marilyn Lightstone Plot: Before they can complete renovations on their new inn, Widower (Ben Wilson) and daughter (Hillary) are visited by a woman seeking immediate lodging for her strange group of travellers. Why they won't stay at the hotel in town is just the first of many mysteries surrounding the group that lead Wilson to a startling discovery affecting his family and neighbours. Awards: Deleted Scenes Production Notes Scene Access Trailers My Thoughts: Interesting idea, but a rather boring movie. Although it has a cheap TV movie kind of feel to it. I am not sure if it is a TV movie though. At least it is in 4:3 format on my release, but again I am not sure if that is full screen or pan & scan.Rating: (From Tom's Time-Travel Movie Reviews on May 7th, 2010) Tom's Random Reviews, a review by TomTitle: Andy Richter Controls the Universe: The Complete Series Year: 2002 Director: Rating: NR Length: 417 Min. Video: Anamorphic Widescreen 1.78 Audio: English: Dolby Digital Stereo, Commentary: Dolby Digital Stereo Subtitles: Stars: Andy Richter Paget Brewster Irene Molloy Jonathan Slavin James Patrick Stuart Plot: The rules of comedy are about to be broken in Andy Richter Controls The Universe, one of the funniest sitcoms in TV history. A bored writer of instruction manuals, Andy spends his office hours daydreaming about what his life could, should and ought to be. Starring in his outlandish fantasies are his unlucky-in-love boss Jessica (Paget Brewster), best buddy Keith (James Patrick Stuart), quirky pal Byron (Jonathan Slavin) and Andy's secret object of desire, Wendy the receptionist (Irene Molloy). Featuring the Emmy®-nominated series' 14 episode run – plus 5 that were never shown on network TV – this it cutting edge lunacy at its irreverent best, a mirth-quaking 10 on the Richter scale! Extras: Closed Captioned Commentary Featurettes My Thoughts: When Andy Richter left the Late Night Show with Conan O'Brien, he started this great (but sadly short-lived) comedy series. It has a great cast. I especially liked Jonathan Slavin as Andy's new collegue Byron. Paget Brewster is really beautiful in this series. The main gag in this series is, that you always see something really strange happening, which turns out to be Andy's imagination, followed by his "...this is what really happened". Episodes:
