Volver, a review by HalTitle: Volver Year: 2006 Director:Rating: R Length: 121 Min. Video: Widescreen 2.35:1 Audio: Spanish: PCM: 5.1, Spanish: Dolby Digital: 5.1, Commentary: Dolby Digital: Dolby Surround Subtitles: English Stars:Plot:Extras: Scene Access Feature Trailers Featurettes Gallery Interviews My Thoughts: A very entertaining tale which takes you on a journey through an array of emotions from grief to anxiety to humor to redemption. Over the course of just a few days, poor Raimunda (Cruz) is faced with one crisis after another and must rely on her sister, daughter and other female friends to overcome unbelievable obstacles. A very touching ending to a story which twists and turns a few times, leaves you in a feel-good mood in the end, in spite of the fact that bad deeds go unpunished, mainly because they happened to bad people. Unfortunately for those of us of the male persuasion, this movie does not shed a kind light on men as a species. This movie was unusually vibrant mainly because of the use of a lot of primary colors throughout. The not-so-hidden message about wind power was far from subtle as they showed the wind farm at least four times during the film. Very enjoyable! Well, they're back! The LOST SKELETON OF CADAVRA is an affectionate, meticulous re-creation of those notoriously cheesy clunkers, as a gaggle of beloved stereotypes pursue "that rarest of all radioactive elements - atmosphereum." You, Jane Plot: Willow meets a boy on the Internet, but "Malcolm" is really Moloch, an ancient demon released from bondage after Willow scanned his "book" into the school's computer. With help from Ms Calendar, Sunnydale High's computer teacher, Buffy foils Moloch's plan to upload himself into a giant robot. My Thoughts: This episode seems almost before it's time, as the topic of internet stalkers are much more prominent now than they used to be, only being Buffy this particular internet threat happened to be an ancient demon. The design of Moloch in this episode was outstanding, in both his demon and then his somewhat mecha-robot form. Both reflected a lot of time and effort put in too his look which really paid off. I mean really, how cool is this demon/robot.... I also like this episode becuase it is the introduction of 'Ms Calander' who is a character I have always liked quite a bit, I only wish she were in the show more, she is defnitely one of my favourite teachers from Sunnydale. I also love the fact that she is a 'techno pagen'. This episode ending is one of my favourites, Buffy, Willow and Xander discussing the fact that living on the Hellmouth they will most likley never have normal relationships is priceless... and true.
