Dracula , a review by Dragonfire

Dracula

My Thoughts

I first saw this one on AMC about 10 years ago.  At that point, AMC still was commercial free and they showed classic horror for most of October.  I really enjoyed the movie and was interested in getting the DVD for several years before I finally did.  I picked up the Dracula Legacy Set a few years.

The movie is based on a book that I still haven't read.  The plot may not seem that original to some people since there have been so many Dracula movies made since this one, but I think it is very entertaining and well worth watching.  Bela Lugosi really set the standard for how Dracula would be portrayed in future movies.  The way he dresses and acts has definitely influenced others.

The picture quality is pretty good considering how old the movie is.  The audio is good too.  Even though this is a vampire movie, it is fairly tame, especially when compared to what is done in newer movies.

This one is a must see movie for anyone who likes horror, especially ones dealing with Dracula or vampires.

I did get a review posted on Epinions a few years ago.

What are you willing to sacrifice ?

clandestine science of Alchemy in attempt of the forbidden - To

and every science its laws not to be broken. The tragic failure of
the young brothers unleashed and unholy reaction that ripped their
bodies apart and their innocense asunder.

Four years later, an evil lurks behind the false face of freedom, its
growth unchecked. A lone State Alchemist combs the countryside
in search of a mythological stone. If found, the stone could amplify
natural talents and harness a power equal to the restoration of
things once held precious, now lost. If found, the stone would also
allow the State Military to senselessly obliterate countless more in
the ongoing struggle. The youngest State Alcehmist in history is
soon faced with harsh truth: The power to create is but a breath
away from the power to destroy.
