Why it was released with this title in the UK? It doesn't mean anything and spoiled it a little no

...It was released as Switchblade Romance here.... Ive never seen it called High Tension before  :stars:

*snicker* Did they invite over a guy from Germany to invent the UK movie title?

The only dvd I've bought from Germany had this lovely title "Der Typ mit dem irren Blick" google translate it as "The guy with the wild look". Certainly a long title for this film since it's for Zapped!

and it was a waste of money since it's only in german with no subtitles

Sebastien you don't support our french canadian release

German movie (and TV episode) title translations are notorious for being both spoilerish and dumb, e.g. "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" --> "Vergiss mein nicht" (Forget me not).

Actually, I just try to avoid the f*cking "Régie du Cinéma" sticker, that can't be cleanly removed 98% of the time (when it's not on the shrink wrap of course).  :voodoo:

My copy looks like that... personally I quite liked the title "Switchblade Romance" ... I think it suited it... im not denying High/HauteTension is good title though.

Careful, people. This thread is starting to look suspiciously like one from the other side.

What do the rules say about original versus DVD titles as credited without referencing IMDB so perhaps we need a vote even though you're all wrong and I already have the correct title locked down in my database and in a moment I'll use CAPITAL letters to prove my superiority and actually the title should all be in capital letters because it's all in capital letters on the cover. End of discussion.

:tomato:
Has anyone taken a screencap of the opening credits yet?  :tease:
Maybe it's just me, but if a line like that would appeared in one of my review I wouldn't be very proud of myself ::)

snowcat

I agree that thats a bad line to put on the front... my guess is lack of english reviews they could source.
