I just fear, that if everyone does it themselves, then we do not have the occasional missed review, but a whole bunch because it is easy for a reviewer (even if they bother to do the entering) to forget adding them.

Another idea: Would it be possible to have an icon in the post to see if the post is in the index? Then if someone sees are review which is obviously not added, they can do the task. Bonus: Click on the icon opens the submission page with the link and the reviewer (taken from the author of the post) already filled in.

Awesome idea.

Maybe Karsten is able to program something that would make it possible with only a click (the only effort for a reviewer would be to click the submit review icon). As the needed informations are only the film title and the link, of course I have no clue if that would be something hard or impossible to do.

That would be awesome if he could.  That would definitely make it easier for us to keep up.

Unfortunately PHP is not really my field of expertise, so I will have to keep it really simple.

Check this out:

You cannot "commit" yet. I want to test the parsing first.

Please test with various URLs and toy with the title / sort title field.

If you don't fill in a sort title, it's derived from the title. Sort titles are useful for sequels and stuff, e.g.

Title: Terminator: Rise of the Machines
Sort Title: Terminator 3

If the title starts with an article, i'll remove it. If it starts with a number, I blow it up to 8 digits.

The last 20 inserts show the last 20 additions to the database. As this table was filles automatically so far, they're alphabetically reversed. As soon as a real insert is allowed, they will be shown at the top.

When trying to enter my latest review (from a looong time ago  :-[ ), I get this error message: Topic/Message ID: 6784 / 154485 already exists as "" by

Strangely when checking the Review List I cannot find it.

EDIT: OK, I should learn to type faster.
At least it's good to know I'm not alone.

Yeah sorry, noticed my error just now. I hate scripting languages.

Please try again.

I just got one.... looked awesome! I noticed that the sort title automatically put the title in all lower case letters... but I don't think that would matter.
