I don't see myself jumping to the next level anytime soon either. Still trying to recover from the culling I had earlier in the year.

I expect to jump to the next level the first half of next year. I have 1,430 titles now (Counting both movie and TV Series boxsets as 1 each)... and expect 21 more titles any day now (that my friend sent me)... giving me 1,451... only needing 49 titles to go to the next level... where I am sure will take me a long time to pass.

I will reach 1,000 sometime next year... Just removed a few profiles of double-dips and DVDs that were otherwise removed from my collection (although they are still in my home) last weekend. Now at 934 with 6 in the mail on their way...

I have floor to ceiling bookcases in my living room filled with DVDs but since I've expanded to 2 large bookcases in the bedroom and one 12 foot shelf in the kitchen, I've decided to sell quite a lot of my DVDs.
I have quite a few duplicates which will be the easy ones to get rid of but how to decide which of the others to go...

I'm still successfully warding off the 800 mark! I've been hovering for ages now. I wonder if I can get down to 700 by 2009?

I am currently in the not-buying-anymore-mode. Firstly because there isn't much interesting stuff announced and secondly, my unwatched rate is way too high.

Another thing that's gonna slow me down is that I'm in "real collector" mode now.  I want more collectors editions, box sets and things like that so I won't buy as many as before.

Interesting... For my taste there is actually quite a lot of stuff coming out this second half of 2007, that I hardly know what to order and what to wait for... Like, I "need" the Stanley Kubrick Box as well as the Twin Peaks Golden thingy. Then lots of other stuff on top of it. Originally I wanted to buy less this year than last, but at this moment I see no chance... (I am still below last year at this point, but...). Well, having poeple tell me "if you want them, just buy them, doesn't help either

Of course, seeing the watch pile (too high to begin with) growing is a concern...

Just past 1100 numbered items today. 159 unwatched, 76 never seen before and lately I feel like I buying a lot without actually watching them.  Maybe that mean something!?
