Can you make the topics and the poster names differently again? Currently you cannot distinguish between those two. See the screenshots posted above. Now it reads for example "I'm toying DJ Doena" instead it being obvious that it is DJ Doena last posting in "I'm toying".

Also besides the empty space and design of the new header, I thought everything was better integrated in the old design. Like the date and the Review List letters. The letters are spaced out quite unequally on my 17" widescreen notebook. And I liked it better that there was a frame around it.

What an ugly layout is this??
Reminds me of the old Win NT times.

The links to our city have gone amiss.

I always hate it when a forum changes its design where I was quite happy with the old.
I was not tired of the old design by any stretch. It was my favorite of all the forums I am visiting. Especially as the new design is not an improvement.

Give it a chance. Karsten is still fiddling and having to play catch up following an update. It's all for the good in the long run. At least we're a small enough community that he doesn't have to lock the front door with a "come back tomorrow" sign...

Another useless details but we are use to it : We don't see the name of the users who read the same topic that we do (before they were listed at the top of a thread).

Karsten, I really feel like I opened Pandora's box with my suggestion to upgrade, if there's anything I can do to help and make your life easier don't hesitate to ask.

P.S: Another suggestion, if the problem is with the new portal, why not just go back to the previous portal but keep SMF 1. 1.15 ?

If any of you wish you can still switch back to "Ocean Blue" in your preferences: http://www.dvdcollectorsonline.com/index.php?action=profile;sa=theme

You just have to collapse that - box and everything should be fine.

"Show unread posts" suddenly isn't working for me anymore.

The new skin scares me. It looks like a an early 90s BBS.
I have a collection.
It can be found here.
No need to check it often.
I update it only twice a year!

Ah, that explains it. I have always been using Ocean Blue, so I saw no difference today, except the brief moment before I logged in...

Great! :

Now only the recent topics list needs to be fixed on the main page and I am happy :)

Karsten If I remember correctly, I had changed the width of the left column in the portal, it probably went back to default when the upgrade was installed.  I think setting it to 140 or 160 pixels will do the trick.

Yupp,
but still the list reads "I'm toying DJDoena". Is it possibly to enter a "by" or "from" between thread-link and user-link?
