It's an horror western movie, not that great but it's a western

Quote from: Rogmeister on September 04, 2010, 11:56:30 PMThe #1 rule of horror...if Stephen King wrote it, it's horror.  :readthis:
Except for:
The Shawshank Redemption
The Running Man
Stand by Me
The Green Mile
etc ...

So it's probably more a guideline than a rule  :)

Jimmy

The Running Man isn't from Stephen King but Richard Bachman... Of course it's the same guy but not the same type of story.

You didn't say he'd have to use his real name ...  :tease:
Still I wouldn't consider the other ones in my list to be horror and they were written by SK under his name.

Seems I've missed some real classics in the category "C-movies"  :bag: :weep:

Jimmy

Never seen the Dracula one, but they are not really made differently. So if you have appreciated the one you have seen the other would be ok (of course the contrary is also true).

Sure it isn't a great movie, but it is enjoyable for what it is (a no-budget fifties film with no second take).

Agree with you completly ;D
He had wrote a lot of non-horror stuff that why I did the comparaison with Firestarter that is the same kind of story.

Hi Pete,
while googling for something completely different I found this:

Frankenfish

Always remember: Still 24 days to go (and man they will be loooooong)

 Thanks Michael...I really appreciate that!  :P

I never seen it... but I actually heard that one wasn't that bad of a movie! :P

Jimmy

Pete I think I'm beginning to feel as deprived of horror as you do...

Can you imagine that I looked my dvd wall case tonight and tought that it would be great to watch The Killer Shrews or The Crawling Hand or The creeping terror :stars:

Dragonfire

While that isn't exactly a good sign, you don't have to really worry until you are longing to watch Sorority or those Lizzie Borden movies again.

addicted2dvd

Which I am unfortunately getting close to that point. Britt asked me for a movie yesterday... when I went up to the shelf... scanning the titles... my eyes locked on The Sorority.... and just for a brief second I thought hmmmm... even that would be good about now. Then I shook it out of me! :P
Pete

Dragonfire

Oh dear...this is getting serious for you.

Achim

I have no doubts that Pete can make it! :tease:

It was a little hard to get by last night without watching one. Especially with me getting Trick 'r Treat... an anthology horror with Anna Paquin (Sookie on True Blood). I heard from several people that it is a great one!
