Okay I have a couple of pics, I just went out with my phone (sorry for the terrible qaulity) and took some photos from my front balcony.

As we just recently came out of winter this area is still quite green as you can see. In about one months time a green blade of grass will not be seen anywhere and it will just be brown and dead.

I thought I would just also add some animals.

This photo was taken at this place about a half hour drive from my house. There are almost always koalas when you go there so it's a great place to take people visiting the country who want to see them.

This is just an Echidna that was on the side of the road near my house once so we got out of the car and took a photo of him. Poor little guy got spooked and tried to dig under ground.

Where are the kangaroo :redcard:
From what I've heard they roam everywhere in Australia

I never visualized Australia as being so hot and desert like in your summer. And as far as the critters Critter...awwww! Thank you for sharing!

Haha I don't have any photos but there are quite a few, just not many in my area. If you drive down the coast and go to golf courses you will find them. Almost any golf course (that isn't in the cities) is full of kangaroos becuase they have such nice grass. They end up getting on the golfers nerves quite a bit  ::)

No worries Kathy. It does get hot in this area in summer but most of Australia is actually desert all year round. That's why considering the size of our country we have a reasonably low population, a lot of central Australia is desert and can't support human life. Over 70% of Australia is actually made up of these deserts and other arid areas, the humans only really live around the edges of the country.

Here Kathy this map explains it better.

Alll the area in the middle that is white or pale yellow is desert all year round and is not populated by humans. We mainly live in the green parts around the outside.

One can't see it on the picture but it's currently snowing...

You need to change your license plates Karsten, the current ones have big black blobs on them and may attract polices attention
