I remember seeing those "monsters" as a kid but I don't know what was the series.

It just came back to me.  I think it's an old series with Patrick Duffy who played an amphibious man.  As a kid I was watching it in french but if I translate word for word it should be "Man of Atlantis"

No... but Man from Atlantis was a cool show. Too bad it only lasted a few episodes.

Didn't think it would be that hard. It's not that old. 1994.
