The headshots in the Viewer are named the same as the actors are called.
E.g. "Tom Hanks.jpg".
Only exception is, that the following characters are replaced:
": " with " - "
double quotes with single quotes
And the following characters are removed:
"?", "\", "/", "*", "<", ">"

Birthyears would be attached in brackets, but usually they are not. Only if needed to distinguish. I think it is better if you would not add those.

The viewer handles alternate images for one person with postfix "_" + incremented number:
"Tom Hanks.jpg"
"Tom Hanks_1.jpg"
"Tom Hanks_2.jpg"

An output folder "CCViewer" would be fine.

Works great :)
If you remove the "_" characters, and also only use a single space between first and last name if no middle name is available, it would be perfect :)

Done. Preliminary version under same URL.

Feature Request:

maybe it's possible to open up the IMDBtoDVDP transformationslist for individual category-names.
this would have no direct use for the dvdp I think, but it would support the CCViewer and it's free assignable crew-category-mapping.  :)

alternativly a export with imdb-cats and rolenames without transformation? :)

Tom

I am currently playing around with the TV cast and crew function. It seems, that the episode dividers have the format "01 episode title" instead of the commonly used "1. episode title".

...
e.g. imdb-cat => cat  and imdb-role = custom role

I checked but that would mean a whole lot of rewrite.

What you could do is delete the transformation.xml completely, and activate the "prefix" option. And Tom could add a parsing that if Category is Custom/Other and Custom Role contains a ":" he'd move the first part into his custom categories.

I have implemented it like Karsten suggested. Mario, you can check it out with the next beta I will send you.

Works great

Tom

There seem to be some series which divide regular cast and episode guest cast into two different sections. Only the episode cast is retrieved.
Example

That's from a time where IMDb didn't have episode specific cast. They only had series based cast. For the more popular shows the cast lists have been completed on an episode base.

I'm not sure whether I should include these series casts into the specific episode.

I have noticed that the series still using this old style are all largely incomplete. So it is probably not worth the effort to implement something here.

i tried to edit the transformation.xml (changed some "<DVDProfilerCreditType>Art</DVDProfilerCreditType>") but won't worked yet ;) ("DataGridView-Ausnahme: ystem.ArgumentException: DataGridViewComboBoxCell-Wert ist ungültig")
