Here's version 0.1.0.0 of CrewEdit 2:

http://doena-soft.de/dvdprofiler/3.5.1/CrewEdit2.zip

It helps you to rip IMDb crew data and insert it into DVD Profiler.

What needs to be done now is to transform/map IMDb crew roles into the ones from DVD Profiler

For example: Fanboys.

The credit there is "Writing credits" -> "screenplay" which has to be mapped to "Writing" -> "Screenwriter"

For this you use the "IMDbToDVDProfilerCrewRoleTransformation.xml" and the above example would look like this:

    <CreditType>
      <IMDbCreditType>Writing credits</IMDbCreditType>
      <DVDProfilerCreditType>Writing</DVDProfilerCreditType>
      <CreditSubtypeList>
        <CreditSubtype>
          <IMDbCreditSubtype>screenplay</IMDbCreditSubtype>
          <DVDProfilerCreditSubtype>Screenwriter</DVDProfilerCreditSubtype>
        </CreditSubtype>
      </CreditSubtypeList>
    </CreditType>

All valid DVD Profiler CreditType/CreditSubtypes are shown in the file "AllDVDProfilerCrewRoles.xml"

It would be great, if you could send me your enhanced "IMDbToDVDProfilerCrewRoleTransformation.xml" files.

:)

PS: And remember: IMDb data must not (!) be contributed to the Online Database.

PPS: Cast Edit 2 and other software can be found here: http://doena-soft.de/dvdprofiler/index_en.php

Sweet tool Karsten - working a treat for me now on new laptop  :clap:

Hey Karsten - the new version is sweet - great job again  :thumbup:

My only wish for a future version would be a 'Scan all Episodes' button on 2nd screen. Just a very small saving of time choice for user having to paint each episode.

:cheers:

Don't forget to send me those details from our PM!  :voodoo:

For utopia, I would like the first screen button changed from 'search episodes' to 'search seasons'
Then I would add a button on this first screen for 'search all seasons' (again saves painting them if you want to select all)
And the only other totally minor addition could be that we can just right click and paste into the 'IMDB TV Show URL' box and it would replace the existing one in there

But as it stands it works perfectly and I'm grateful you developed thiis

Oh sorry, I made an error in parsing. I will remedy that.

no prob. I just wonder *g*

Typical programmer's error: search&replace (and replaced something that shouldn't have been). Should be renamed to search&destroy. ;)

hm.. maybe you can show me an example for this option... i can't see a difference *g* (maybe it's because of +900 persons for "300" :o )

Tenth person from top: Philippe Lord.

Without "Category Prefix" he's a "Decorator". With, he's "Set Decoration by: Decorator". (you have to enable "Other Credits" in order to see this at all).

Also notice the "Get Headshots" button.
