I just finished watching my 200th movie so far this year! 

 

I am at 119...

I haven't even broken 100 yet.  Though I've been watching more tv shows on DVD this year.

I am at 221 

I think I must blame this site and its marathons that I watch that many movies 

For some reason I really watched a lot of stuff recently. In the past I mainly watched some movies on the weekends and only one or two during the week. Last year I had a total of 178 for the complete year.

But by the end of the year Pete will have beat me (with his October marathon and all).

  We will see Tom. Who knows maybe you will watch more then me in October too!

maybe I will reach the 200 at the end of the month, if not it will be for september since I will be absent for the complete month of august (like last year).

I haven't really been keeping track...maybe I'll start doing that next year.

A friend and I used to count movies but we only counted movies we saw at theaters.  That was back in my big movie-going prime.  I think the most movies I ever saw in a theater in one year was 40 but I don't remember when that was...I'd guess sometime in the 1970s or maybe in the 1980s.

My totals are down a little this month again... but I did do pretty good with first time viewings.
