Hola, I may be needing the assisstance help of a Canadian or American forum member in ordering a dvd soon.

I'm after Marvel Then and Now: A Night with Stan Lee and Joe Quesada, which I can only find on the Amazon.com Marketplace, however when I add it to my shopping basket and try to pay for it I can not. There is some kind of geographical problem with it coming to the UK rather that a continental US buyer.

I've emailed the customer services people to see it there is a way ariound this, but if they reply in the negative then, would someone be good enough to let me send it to their home and for them to then forward it onto me?

Kathy

I don't know if it would be cheaper for Canadian postage but I'd be happy to help. If you send me the weight of the package and your address, I'll go to the post office and get an estimate on the various prices/times of delivery for US postage.

I'm guessing the Amazon shipping would be the deal breaker for a Canadian to do it. I'm guessing if you add up the Amazon marketplace shipping with the subsequent postage to UK, the price is probably lower for a US person to do it, VS a Canadian, especially considering the current value of the Canadian Dollar.

I was going to say that Canadian shipping seems more customs friendly, if that helps.

Thank you for the offers  ;D

I received a reply from Amazon CS and tey basically told me to contact the seller, which I have now done and am awaiting a reply.

Will keep you all updated.

Once again, thanks for the offers of assistance.

I got a reply from the actual seller, and I was able to order it from them. ;D

Yeah, good luck with that. Didn't you see Watchdog last week?  :o :tease:

Don't worry too much. I think it was a case of normal people suddenly coming into direct conflict with the big scary Internet. They'd been screwed by Market Place sellers and lost their money and couldn't understand why Amazon wasn't taking full responsibility. Me, I've always understood the clear difference between an Amazon product and an Amazon MP one, just like Ebay. But because these people got an email with an Amazon logo on, they demanded to know why Amazon wasn't backing them up.

A director of Amazon UK was interviewed. Much as I like Nicky Watsit demolishing unscrupulous business men, I thought the chap did well and didn't deserve all the sarcasm that was thrown at him.
